Good to know on the Bilstein 5100s. When I go to Biltein's site - they do ask for my vehicle Make/Model/Trim so it at least seems to be accounting for the Rubicon trim level. Doesn't mean they don't use the same kit regardless of trim level.
I figured it would be better to replace the...
That's a great way to describe the ride - like the bed is overloaded. Good to know on the red shocks. I had looked around and thought of just swapping the shocks with other Jeep/Mopar shocks (like 392 shocks). However it seems that doesn't always go well - want to make sure to get the correct...
Yeah, I was wondering that. Bought the wheels/tires during COVID so availability was limited and I didn't realize the significance of E-rated tires at the time.
Thanks for the feedback on the Bilsteins. I would like the ride to be stiffer than what I have now because it is very "floaty". But...
I've owned a 2020 JT Rubicon Launch Edition since new. It has the original FOX shocks that came with it. The factory steering stabilizer was replaced with a FOX unit. I have 35x12.50 BFG K02 E-Rated tires running at 35 psi. I had the dealer install a Teraflex 1.5" spacer kit when the tires...
Searched for other posts on this, but was unsuccessful.
Has anyone with an early Gladiator (2020-or early 2021) done the 2021 map update? It states that it also updates the software. I'm not really experiencing any issues and don't really use the built-in navigation, so I was wondering if...
Little late here....just got mine done (thanks for the heads up @ShadowsPapa). Overall driving seems much better but steering wheel is about 5* to the left (drivers side). Is this something that's easily adjustable at home? Kinda tired of taking it in to the shop. Been there 4 times now.
I have seen some of the forum posts, but no, I haven’t had that work done. I’ll start with that and see where it goes. I have a Launch Edition and took possession in July 2019 (for dating of the build purposes).
I recently replaced the stock 285/70/R17 with 35/12.50/R18, 1.5” TeraFlex leveling kit, and got the Mopar FOX steering stabilizer “upgrade”. Now my gladiator pulls hard to the right. Didn’t do it before. All work done by the local Jeep dealer. After getting the air pressure right, wander...
@ShadowsPapa - I talked with BFG support. They confirmed your comments. They said at the most I should run 37 psi (factory standard), but recommended 35 psi. I dropped the tires down to 35 and it was MUCH better.
I still have an issue with it pulling to the right. Any suggestions on where I...
i did not get a report. I would say more pulling to the right and wandering. It was always a little loose but tolerable. Combine that with the pulling and wandering, it almost feels unsafe.
FWIW - the tires are around 40 psi.
I just had 35s put on my JTR including a Teraflex 1.5” leveling kit, and a upgraded Mopar FOX steering stabilizer. Afterwords, my steering seems really loose. I told the mechanics that it didn’t seem right and they told me that the Mopar FOX steering stabilizer is softer than the factory one...
Finally got around to upgrading my Launch Edition. 1.5” TeraFlex leveling kit with Black Rhino Abrams wheels and BFG K02s. Went from 285/70/R17 to 35/12.50/R18.
I just installed a TeraFlex 1.5 inch leveling kit on my 2020 Rubicon. Afterwords I had it aligned and all of these torque settings checked. It seems to pull terribly to the right and the steering seems very loose. I talked to the jeep dealer that did the installation, and they drove it and said...
