with the Rubi's 4:10 (for me at least) it depends on the speed of your highway. At 50-60 i get closer to 20mpg but one you start doing 80 it drops to around 15mpg for me. Doesnt like the higher speeds at that gearing. I imagine the 3:73's do better at WI highway speeds.
So its just regurgitated Consumer report? Plus Consumer report's website still has the 2020 as "Predicted reliability"
The age of sensationalism. :puke:
There are two separate issues some of you seem to misunderstand.
The first issue is the few who may have actual HVAC issues. Where the heating or cooling system is not operating correctly at all.
The second issue is the the few who believe the "manual" setting to blow out what ever...
Azazel just hit 20,000 miles, and I don't drive for work. LOVING IT. Had one scare with an engine stall (probably the ESS) but its never happened again.
The Truck is less that a year old. There are going to be no accurate assessment of reliability. Wait 5 years and buy it used it you want to know for sure.

Read up.
"The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is unranked in Compact Pickup Trucks due to missing safety data. Currently, the Jeep Gladiator's overall score is not available, though its Critics' Rating, Performance score, and Interior score are based on our evaluation of 12 pieces of research and data."
Thats the...
Idk where you are getting you info but the JD power website show the gladiator unrated. Also JD power is a bought award. Its the Oscars of the Car world.
Wow. I must have like magic words or something. Cuz I said one thing but you got something completely different from what I actually said. So, sure?
And I get your "subtle" hint too, but my mother is a lovely woman. How dare you.
Can we just add a "Pointless Rants" Category to the forum. These one off complaining posts are filling up the general like garbage.
Step one: Complain about something
Step two: Reasonable arguments from others
Step Thee: Bitch at others for not agreeing with the rant.
Like clock work.
Just realized that I perfectly described Sous-vide. So apparently @danielspivey would like to a sous-vide type Hvac system? OMG THOSE JEEP ENGINEERS. WHY DID THEY OVERLOOK THIS!!!?
COMPLETELY UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE.
All Gladiators should be immediately recalled and we should sue.
I mean that basically is the name of this thread.
Well kinda.... I mean it will EVENTUALLY reach 70 degrees via normalization. You do have an out flow of air that is less than 70. But its much much faster to pump hotter air to reach the desired temp faster.... ya know.... like pretty...
This
HERE ARE THE TRULY MANUAL SETTINGS
FAN SPEED
AIR FLOW DIRECTION
TEMPERATURE ON "HI"
TEMPERATURE ON "LOW"
The system works the way you need it too. You're a sensationalist. Simple as that.
THIS IS THE SINGLE AND ONLY PASSAGE IN THE HAND BOOK ABOUT THE MANUAL SETTING WITH THE AUTOMATIC HVAC SYSTEM. THERE IS NO PLACE IN THE HANDBOOK WHERE IT GOES INTO DETAIL ABOUT THE SYSTEM LOGIC OF THE HVAC SYSTEM.
THERE IS NO PROOF.
THERE IS NO "BE ALL" SOURCE OF INFO
STOP ASKING FOR THE...
The manual HVAC mode is no different than the auto transmission's manual mode. Does it give you more control of your gearing? Yea. But does it turn it into a manual trans? No. I keep thinking this tread is dead and then like an annoying zombie it pops back up to the front page.
At this point...
WARNING BUYERS! THIS 2020 VEHICLE DOESN'T OPERATE LIKE A CAR FROM THE 1900'S.
System logic has changed. You can still work it exactly how you want to. Put it on HI and control the fan speed and placement if its really that much of an issue. I mean Its there's like 4 things to control. It takes...
Coming from deep bucket seats it took some getting used to. But I will totally agree with the head rest. No matter what position its in its super uncomfortable. And if it is a whiplash safety thing, is it just designed to break my neck immediately so I'm to dead to worry about it?
