I’ve probably overfilled it a few times. My JK had the problem of not taking fuel and shutting off the pump so I didn’t trust it. I pulled the eSIM and purge valve off yesterday, purge valve doesn’t seem to pass. I watched some videos on testing the eSIM but don’t have the equipment to test it...
This has been on and off for while. I switched gas caps with my other Jeeps and it comes i again after clearing codes. I’ll switch gas caps with my brother in laws Jeep and if that’s not it look at the next option. I pulled the eSIM but nothing to see there. Really don’t want to do a $190...
Has anyone changed out eSIM or purge valve on their Gladiator? I’m at around 100,000 miles right now.
Getting PO440, P0456 & P0457. I had them cleared but they come back. The P0440 is staying in permanent DTC on my code reader.
My gas cap light wouldn’t clear with my cheapo scanner. I switched gas caps with my JK and that didn’t work either. So then I wondered is it gas cap, ESIM,or purge valve.
I didn’t feel like throwing $200 in parts at it so I went to an old Jeep mechanic who I trust that has his own shop and he...
I put the AA RubiCrawler in my 2007 JK in 2009 so it has 2 low and a 7.3 reduction in low low. I really like it for cow trailing or easy stuff. Steers way better. Also don’t have to listen to the RCV’s clicking.
So did your drive clear the CEL and gas cap alarm? I’ve got the same thing going on. Where to start though, gas cap, eSIM or purge valve? I know its not a battery issue, they were replaced last summer.
I like the RCV’s in my JK. I don’t like the clicking when the cage has some wear. I’ve rebuilt them once and the clicking in 4x4 when turning is back. I just live with it. Explaining why your expensive axles are doing that shouldn’t have to happen.
They combined the TCM/PCM on the 2005 with the automatic, that’s where my problem was. The part is no longer supported. I guess there’s an outfit making them now.
Ours failed in August of 2023 after towing trailer on long road trip during a hot spell. Bought it in June 2019. Around 125,000 km. I just got around to putting a new sensor in. It used the # 1. Too bad there’s no market for the other 4. Definitely a real failure on Jeeps part that this has been...
