Finally got the dealer to replace mine (making all the same noises noted above) and it fixed it. Now it sounds like normal soft top Jeep at freeway speeds. It took 3 trips to the dealership to get them to do it but it was worth it to get the rumble noise fixed.
Had this problem and finally got dealer to replace the top with the FCA alert in hand when I took it in. The new top fixed my problem. The weird harmonic was so bad at 75-80 the rear view mirror was vibrating and you couldnāt see out the rear! All good now tho!
Yep mine had done this since the first day of ownership last July. I also have the 7ā unit and it happens with CarPlay. Iāve tried all the USB ports, different cables and other phones and the head unit glitches with all of āem using CarPlay. Taken it to the dealer and have shown them the...
if you have steering wheel controls, there are up, down and left arrows on the left side of the steering wheel. Press up or down in those controls to change what is displayed.
I posted about this months ago and have taken it in to the dealer twice and they are not interested in fixing it. Iāve tried everything and it glitches everyday with different cables, USB ports and phones. Itās mostly visible when using CarPlay maps for me. If you search for āCarPlay map...
Same for me, I've tried everything (cables, different USB port, even another iPhone) and the screen continues to glitch like in the video. Taken it to the dealer 2 times and they "can't replicate" the issue. Been stuck with a glitching carplay system since I drove it off the lot last July. They...
Well letās see
No need to connect a wire to use CarPlay so no USB wires laying around
Leave your phone in your pocket and drive around like a boss
For short runs where you donāt need a charge it really is convenient
If you donāt like wireless no harm was just trying to provide some info...
The headunit is so close to being great but these type issues and the ones I've ran into with Carplay make it feel half done. It's also frustrating that they haven't released a new software version to address some of this. Good luck!
I have the 7" headunit with wired carplay but was looking for a wireless option for connecting the iphone. I tried the carplay2air dongle and after it arrived and a quick update the darn thing works with a few exceptions. The biggest problem I had was that I needed to disconnect/forget the...
7ā and yes Iām using an Apple cable and Iāve tried another apple cable just to make sure. Iāve also tried all the USB ports and even a different phone and they all have the problem. It is very subtle and if you arenāt looking for it itās hard to catch. The video above is what mine does...
Not yet but your video is exactly what happens to mine. Iāve taken it to the dealer twice and they ācanāt recreate itā. Iāll try to get a tech from the dealer to ride with me next time. Itās super frustrating!
Yep mine does this as well. I have 3k miles and itās rebooted 3 or 4 times. I also have the CarPlay screen glitch issue every day. Dealer doesnāt seem interested in fixing either problem so far.
I have this problem as well. Got the dreaded ācanāt replicateā line from the dealer. Mine rumbles and vibrates so badly you canāt use the rear view mirror. I even provided a video to dealer and they so didnāt fix it. Frustrating.
I use Carplay everyday with GPS (typically Waze). For Waze, there is a setting inside the Waze app for how loud the directions/alerts are. I haven't messed around with the other GPS platforms to confirm but assume there are settings there as well. Have a look at the gps app on your phone and see...
