Might not work in Arizona with the harder soil, but I have hammered my hi-lift jack into the ground at an angle to use as a winch point when wheeling in the mud and trees are out of reach.

I am running their Tacoma bed rack on my gladiator and was pretty impressed with the quality, adjust-ability, and included accessories for the price point - would definitely recommend.
