For now I just deleted it. I pulled the fuse and tucked the wire behind the dash. I would like to relocate it somewhere on the passenger side dash board or footwell.
oh sorry, the hitch assembly by itself is probably close to 50-60lbs. with the bars its around 100-110lbs. if i remember correctly, the shipping box said 110lbs. I did not weigh it my self though.
I am using https://www.etrailer.com/Weight-Distribution-Hitch/Curt/C17052.html.
Dry Weight is 4171 lbs
Dry Tongue Weight is 412 lbs
I loaded everything we took with us in the trailer and then setup the weight distribution hitch. We did not fill the freshwater tank. Filling the tank would of...
No problem, glad I could give some input. We are using a Curt Round Bar Weight Distribution Hitch UPC: 612314170524. It is very easy to setup and use. Also, inexpensive compared to other weight distribution hitches. I was also waiting on the MOPAR controller, but I am happy with the Curt...
Hey Jeff(mtpokets), the trailer is stock height. As far as impressions towing, we have only taken it out once on a 140 mile round trip. The Gladiator is equipped with a 6spd manual transmission. First and foremost, we will be looking into getting another Ram 1500 to tow this TT. Back to the...
Spent the weekend in Austin visiting family. We visited Hidden Falls Adventure park again, we tried out some more difficult trails this time. We also did a lot of hiking.
With the Rubicion and 6spd manual. It is not too difficult. Here is a video of me messing around on a large dirt mound. I was in 4Lo - 3rd gear, never used the clutch, break or accelerator. For the decent at the very end i was in 1st gear
Same for this video. Most of it was done in 2nd...
@NateKY
I have the 7" in my JT and love it. I use it with Android Auto and it works great. It doesn't come with navigation so being able to use Android auto or Apple carplay is a major +. The only other benefits of having the 7" is navigating through menus.
i knew i had to have a Rubicon but also did not want to pay over 45k. so i custom ordered my "cheap jeep".
My Options:
6spd
hard top
auxiliary switches
trailer tow package (for the additional cooling south texas heat, will do some towing but nothing heavy)
spray-in bedliner
Options i wished...
6sp manual rubicon owner. Go with the automatic unless you absolutely love driving manuals. The 6spd in this truck is not bad at all. throws are surprisingly pretty short. they seem shorter than my 2012 mazda 3 i had. the clutch is very light and does not give much feedback. i will say it...
coming from a 2014 ram 1500, the steering definitely felt loose the first couple of days driving it. i was over correcting to keep the gladiator going straight down the road. eventually i got used to it, in fact so much that the steering now feels responsive and natural to me. i have no issues...
I was referring to the wheel spin marks. If there are two wheel spin marks then no question you have a limited slip. Maybe try easing off the clutch a little slower with a little less gas. With my 6spd I have no issues easing off the clutch with little to no gas.
