Mine also has the AC issue. Really sucks. I agree when you turn it on or off of auto it seems to reset. I also seem to think itās measuring cabin temp instead of outlet temp. Makes no sense to ask for 72 degrees and get pummeled with 85 degree air.
Love the alpine upgrade. The kicker is the sub options for the gladiator are really non existent. Rolling your own is really hard because there just isnāt room in the cab. I feel it was well worth the upgrade.
Price is worse when you factor that people that want an upgrade likely have stock speakers too. The speaker upgrade from Jeep was one of the better boxes I checked on the build sheet.
I think the issue I have is how much of a dead zone is in the steering. You canāt seem to just hold a position on the road (slight gradual turn) because you have to move the steering wheel two inches to get out of the dead zone. I think this is the wandering I experience as I maneuver like a...
Thanks for posting this. My wife didnāt like the floaty steering of my stock rubicon and refused to go high speeds. I assume this would bring some confidence at highway speeds?
It may just be the top UV layer that gets the pigment. I think itās a two layer process with the mid tier LineX. Not sure they would just apply the top coat only. Allegedly this top coat fills in the smaller crevices which makes cleaning your bed 100x easier. So also that. But I donāt actually...
Exactly.
For those asking about the colors, the LineX guy said he gets the color from an actual auto paint place. He just buys the pigments used to mix the paint, but instead mixes it with LineX. I had to provide him with the torch red paint code for reference. But you could give any paint...
I picked the wrong sized board for thy at divider. Should have done 2x8 and I did 2x6. I think the board needs to ride on the top of the undulations and so my cutouts, while looking cool, are a quarter inch too low I think. But between the LineX and some neoprene I hope to add to the top it...
I went looking for sill guards after you mentioned that. I think some of them cover part of the hole but not all of it. I may just find something I can stuff in there thatās not permanent. That lost but was a royal PITA to get out!
My son was helping me take the doors off for the first time. He decides to freehand unscrew the door tensioner and the bit falls into oblivion. Jeep designed an open gap in the door sill and the bit fell right in. I tried using an extending metallic tool but the curvature snapped the metal rod...
Yes youāre right. I did some playing around at a regular one by would work but only within the grooves channels of the bed. So if sitting on the lowest points itās perfect but a 2x8 would likely be too high because of the raise channels in the bed. Iām going to make some āteethā on my board to...
Youāre right, I forgot to check the height of the board with the wheel well and gate. A 2x6 is too short. However it looks like I can add some small 1-by-1 blocks and it will be perfect. But the blocks need to sit inside the ribs of the bed. If you did one long one-by it would make the board too...
I bought a 2x6 and cut out some hand holds to easily move it if I need to. Now my trunk items wonāt shift to the front of the bed when braking!
I plan to paint it black, but it would be hard to see what I did... hence before pic.
