And I'm still wondering about the clutch in the six speed Rubi that arrived this week at my local dealer. WTF clutch is in the damned thing........
Suspense is killing me....
So this "lojack' device is generating a constant banner in front of you? If it were me, I would be driving the dealer to fully remove the device as well as any software associated with it. Very little value in those devices (IMHO) and plenty of downside. Many examples on this forum of...
Hello......Jeep....are you out there? When will you tell me how you will eliminate the safety issue with my clutch??????
Has anyone driven a recently delivered 6 speed? Any impressions of the supplied clutch? Any different in feel from the allegedly outgoing clutch?
I see my local dealer...
What dealership are you using? My '22 Mojave 6 speed really needs to go to 4.88's, as I am sure you are aware. If they get it done at $500 per axle.....great deal! I'm in Southern Maine, typically use Marc Motors for warranty stuff.
I think the "voluntary" comment is regarding FCA - meaning the recall is voluntary on their part, and not forced by NHTSA. I think........ :)
And...I think as the owner, you can have the recall performed on your schedule, not theirs. I think......
I would push them for a significant warranty extension. I think they'll do a "decent" job of cleaning up.....but anywhere there is any sort of residual oil will be collector for dirt and dust going forward. Who knows what that may cause.
My newly acquired '22 SZ Mojave 6 speed

Kudos to Jeep...much faster than expected!

Hmmmm......I have adaptive cruise in my 6 speed Mojave, and I agree that it works better in vehicles with auto transmissions. However - I find it very useful for highway conditions, and using the clutch (i.e. shifting) does not disable the ACC. I can up shift or down shift and the ACC...
No trade in for me, so timing is less of an issue for me. I can wait -I work in a significant manufacturing industry, and I'm living the supply chain challenges every day....so I'm sympathetic regarding the potential for delays. But - I want what I ordered, no exceptions.
Hard to tell what will happen given all the supply chain challenges. If mine comes through as a '23, I'll be fine with it. just don't make me wait six months!
Working on finalizing my order with the dealer.....he says '23 ordering opened yesterday and mine will be going in as a '23......so perhaps that explains the price increase.
Thanks - sounds like I timed it wrong by waiting an extra week. I literally started the order process yesterday, and I am seeing similar increases on the Mojave......total cost up of about $1500 from what I expected.
Thanks. I am already at 3% below invoice with a semi local dealer, and trying to work that with thebdealermjust a few miles from me. What I am looking for is points of comparison in terms of what others are currently being quoted form MSRP on a Mojave. The latest guide posted in the stickies...
I am finally ready to order up my new '22 Mojave. I have been using the March 31 Jeep order guide (posted in the stickies above) to figure out costs. However, my dealer quoted higher msrp and fwp in many cases. The Mojave itself was quoted at $49110 msrp vs the order guide showing $48025...
They do have an outlet store where they sell seconds at a discount. I got mine from there, supposedly missing a non-critical weld. I cent find anything wrong with it, works great, built like a tank...and I got something like $500 off.
It's amazing to me that Jeep continues to screw this up. The issue itself, as well as how it has been responded to, has been poor at best. An arguably under powered.....but let's say "adequately"...powered Jeep mated to a whimpy clutch is not a recipe for success in a vehicle meant to endure...
I would not be comfortable running a full quart over. Check your dip stick, but running significantly too much oil can result in the oil frothing, which is not good.
