The difference is noticeable, especially if you ever park the two side by side… The high clearance fenders are about 2 inches higher… you may also run into clearance issues depending on the size of tires you run.
Yes… your speedometer might be off a mile or so if you don't program it (not enough to worry about programing it)
You’re really only going about half an inch taller and about an inch wider, everything should clear fine
I used rustoleum truck bed liner on some skidplates and step bars. It comes in a rattlecan and is a pretty close match to the factory color and texture and has held up really well. Obviously it’s not an exact so you’ll want to spray the whole bumper after you prep it.
I put on some 17x8 with 0 offset wheels with 285/70/17 wiledpeaks and they had a little over 1/2 in poke, probably not enough to get pulled over for but they dont check that here. They drove fine but i did replace them with mojave wheels +37 and felt they drove better, could have been scrub...
If all you care about is tire clearance then thats the way to go in my opinion. My wifes jl sport has the standard flares with a 2 in lift and my gladiator sport has the high clearance flares with no lift and i have more space for bigger tires than she does plus as a side benefit they are a hair...
Instead of a lift have you considered finding a set of take off rubi or mojave flares? The high clearance flares will give you plenty of clearance for 35s. Then throw on a small leveling kit and a set of sway bar disconnects
I had the factory remote start added at the dealership. If i remember right it was in the $600 range. I just wanted to keep it factory and didn't want to have to carry an additional key fob for the remote start.
If its a decent price, I would buy them, they are kind of hard to find…
in my opinion the high clearance fenders look better than the sports do… plus if you decide to go 35s you have the extra space to do so without flare clearance issues..
one thing to keep in mind is if you dont have the max...
Trying to clean out the garage and I have a set of fender flares if anyone needs them… its all four flares and liners. Also comes with the lights (non led). They are black textured flares off of a max tow so they are a little wider than base but NOT the high clearance flares. They are in great shape
If all you want is enough clearance to put on 35s with no rubbing a much easier option would be to get some rubicon take off flares or buy some from mopar.. i got some rubicon take off shocks, springs and some 3/4 inch spacers to level it, thinking i would need the extra lift… i also got the...
I have a set of red rubicon tow hooks im hoping to give away. They are used so not at all perfect but good enough to use as is or have them powder coated. Im in the Kansas city area and not wanting to ship
Anybody in the kansas city area looking for a free set of mopar steel bumper end caps… they are used so they are not perfect but not bad shape. I am not going to ship
Ahhhh… dang it…. I had to order some to… got a tracking #… what is it with jeeps… i have less than 10k miles on it and this is my 4th set of tires…
You are probably ok But on a brand new truck i wouldn't take the chance. Without seeing it, it would be hard to say either way. The axles have vent tubes that if they went under could suck water in and i would rather find out now before it causes problems down the road.. Thats just my opinion...
