Itâs still worth a go at it, but probably going to have to go at it with more of a âhey could you guys help me out?â approach.
$500 part isnât so bad but itâd be nice to know the work was guaranteed.
I wanted to downsize my 2017 Silverado 2500 into something that sucked less to drive in the city (had moved to Pittsburgh), because while Iâd drive it for work I just wasnât using it at all when I was home.
Gladiator still gets all my little truck chores done, and is a lot of fun to drive...
Got a â20 Rubicon and they just ordered the parts for it. Monroeville Jeep outside Pittsburgh. Sounds like they have done at least one other so far.
I was a little nervous because this dealer has been annoying about things like always topping my 35â tires off to 37psi and resetting my tire...
Yep thatâs pretty much what I used, 2â Velcro webbing, I have some left over from mounting an extinguisher to the roll bar. Iâve also found it useful as heck to have in the tool box, already used it for some quick camp table repairs. I wish it had some stretch to it but it holds great if what...
Velcro is a great idea, it should stick right to the bottom of the seat. Give it a twist so the soft part goes around the back of the seat, and you can just store it stuck to the bottom or backs of the seat.
Here check it out!
To start out if we could keep this from degrading into a whole ânanny driver systems are the problem with this countryâ that would be awesome. Itâs a feature I feel better having because my job involves a lot of highway driving to get back to my hotel after working two weeks of 13hr shifts...

Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota (and sort of Montana). Itâs an altitude thing.
FWIW I only knew to run 87 in my old XJ as a kid in Colorado because my dad specifically told me to, otherwise 85 was the norm for everyone I...
I have the factory lockable box and Iâd only get it again if I planned on doing a lot of top-off adventures where I left it places and wanted to keep more small gear items locked up.
It doesnât feel like a great use of space. I keep some spare batteries for things, a jump pack, 25â air line...
Thatâs not nearly as bad. In all fairness I didnât shop around much because I also wanted D-ring mounts and was just looking for justification to ditch the factory bumper.
it ends up being more expensive than youâd think because the bumper doesnât come with the winch plate, and the winch plate costs nearly as much as some winch-ready aftermarket bumpers unfortunately.

I run both of these together and the Bestop Sunrider is something Iâd buy again tomorrow if mine broke or was lost some how. I do agree that it is outrageously priced but it is a fantastically built and designed piece of equipment.
Theyâll look great. Theyâll be out past the fenders, but at that size itâs going to look weirder if theyâre not. Itâs a lot of tire math to get to what will likely be âa couple inchesâ, but if youâre worried enough the calculations are out there.
Finally figured out putting a rotopax in the bed without drilling or getting molle panels. Next step playing musical trail rail mounts to figure out where I want everything now.

So yeah that Toyota plate totally works.
Got some optimization to do with the bike mounts to maybe get it scooted in the corner more.
Also looks like you can mount it on the side behind the wheel wells still but I have too much crap there to mess with it at the moment.
I think thatâs for their bed rack? You could mount it with some T-nuts to the rails but itâd put the rotopax sticking above the top of the bed.

Iâm not sure if this one is going to work yet, but the nuts for mounting into Tacoma rails fit the...
