  1. Just got the Death Wobble on my JT....grrrr. Any advice?

Always start with the simplest fixes first. Tire rebalance, alignment might do the trick.
  2. Max tow question

This is correct, if you order the max tow and try to add the Trac-Lok optional rear axle on the build webpage, it will delete the max tow
  3. Prospective buyers beware

We already have that in the "ricer" thread... please not another Anyways, can we stop bumping this click baity titled thread... I'm sick of seeing it
  4. Serious question from a first time Jeep Owner

Lol, this thread. I'm in the camp of do what makes you happy. Hell I don't even care if you lower your jeep and put 30" rims on it... I'll say it's ugly but to each their own. I think the whole "mall crawler" thing is just to mess with people and I would hope no one is too serious about someone...

Some beefy rock sliders that act as a step might get in the way enough to block some of that crud
  6. Why a Gladiator (JT) and not a Wrangler (JL)?

You will absolutely love the softtopper. Had one on my Tacoma and abused it pretty good and it always held up and it's so easy to fold down if you need to put bigger stuff back there. By far my favorite modification on my Tacoma
  7. Why a Gladiator (JT) and not a Wrangler (JL)?

THIS! is why I always thought it would be genius if Jeep had a middle tailgate that integrated into the bed like the old Chevy Avalanches. Obviously more engineering and cost involved, so I understand why they didn't but thought it would be awesome
  8. Why a Gladiator (JT) and not a Wrangler (JL)?

Just wanted to point out that 72.4 cubic feet of cargo area for the JL is with the seats down So not exactly a fair comparison
  9. Body Color or Black Fender Flares?

Black for me. By the time they're old enough to fade I'd probably throw on some tube fenders for added toughness/protection
  10. Let's see 'em - Larger tires on Sport S wheels

Yes, the second number is the ratio of the width to the sidewall of the tire. So on a 245/75r17 75% of the width is the height of the sidewall... 285/70R17 70% of the width is the sidewall 75% of 245 is 184ish 70% of 285 is 200ish
  11. Nude Gladiators (no doors/tops) - pics please

I feel like Jeep missed an opportunity, since the top comes off, to create a sort of center tailgate like on the chevy avalanche. That way the seats would fold and the bed would extend into the cab. Obviously that would require a lot more engineering though
  12. BILLET SILVER Gladiator JT Club

That's a great looking tire and looks like they aren't too expensive. Where did you buy them? You happy with their performance so far?
  13. Overland or Rubi / mostly on road

If you want 4.10s but don't 4-wheel I would just go with the Sport S with Max Tow package. You get beefier axles and 4.10s, then you can throw the Rubi wheels/tires on it. You can also add the rear LSD

Actually I stand corrected, looks like payload with the manual on the Sport is 1600. It's just the towing that is affected according to this article https://www.tfltruck.com/2019/03/2020-jeep-gladiator-towing-specs/

1200 sounds correct to me since you can't get the max tow package with the Manual. GVW with max tow is 6250
