I got mine going the other way, MT to AT. I would say it is the tires, but it isn't constant. Tires are either ballanced or not. Loose joints can be in alignment and then not. I drive 20 minutes to work. 5 of those have a shimmy and 15 don't. this can't be tires.
I would reccomend using the helper airbags for towing. They are cheap and easy to install, What I found was that between the suspension being soft, the tires being big, and the weight getting close to max, the truck needed just a little help. They really stiffen the back end up to a comfortable...
Because the V6 doesn't have enough power to do tractor things. It barely likes to pull my 17' camper. This is mostly due to wind resistance, not weight. It isn't lacking HP, but it has no torque.
Sorry about ducking out for a bit. I only check these things when I'm bored at work.
New development, the driver side started working on its own. At first it just turned on the "push clutch to start" screen and later that night it came all the way back to normal. Interesting that it came back...
If it were bent pins, how would it start working again after re-programming? The truck was at the dealer for a warranty issue and got flashed. The passenger door hadn't worked in 6 months and now it does? And now magically the problem switched sides? When it didn't work, I checked the pins for...
Is there a correct sequence to plugging the doors back in? For the first three years, when I would plug my doors back in they would all work. Back in Dec. when I decided that taking them back off wouldn't happen for a while, my front passenger door would not be recognized by the computer. Three...
I've had my truck for 5 years now. I got used to the radio delay on startup and the clock losing 3 minutes per month. I don't understand why every Jeep product besides the Wrangler/Gladiator line can have the radio start immediately. but now something new is going on. When the temperature is...
I tow a 17' Springdale that is 9' wide and weighs in at #3800. With the manual sport JT, I go all the way down to 10.5 mpg. When we use the wife's Durango with the same trailer, we get around 14mpg. Between the wind resistance and the automatic transmission, it is worlds different. When I towed...
One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is the towing with bigger tires and the bounce effect. We tow our #3500 camper with my JT and my wife's Durango. Hers is stock and it is more comfortable feeling. mine is on 35s and is a manual transmission. They have the same engine. Mine feels like it...
About every 8 or 9 months. My truck has a loud thump. At that point the entire radio system resets itself. I have to set the clock and things are not normal for a few minutes. It is generally on startup but not anything else is consistent. I tried searching for a thread on this but I cannot find...
When the Gladiator is the highway vehicle to get the other toys to the playground, it helps to talk to the truckers. It kept me out of a fiery crash 2 weeks ago. so in my vehicle, it is one of each.
I'm with the never sell my truck crowd. the plan is when the electronics start to fail, strip it down and make it a play toy only.
I may need to look into the Wagoneer for my daily as I'm seeing new 22s with $35-40k discounts.
