@jjmstang looks correct. All 8 links (front upper axle side is factory rubber bushing into axle housing, no RK bushings there) makes 14 sets and one set for the front track bar joint.
Bummed that mine seem to be going out extremely quick the second time as well. Are you running the triangulated rear setup or factory replacement/bolt in?
Notice we live in the same area(im in Sparks).
Well after about a month of being installed and around 1200 miles it seems my JT is starting to develop clunks/slop in the links again making it wander going down the road again and make noises over each medium-size and larger bump. I Well-greased the bushings at install and again one pump into...
Per their TSB they say to reach out to Daystar for any compensation. You can find the TSB here- It's TSB 2
https://rockkrawler.com/technical-service-bulletins/
Neither were included. Have to figure it out or know how to do it on your own which is why I outlined the procedure above. Frankly on the difficulty scale swapping all the bushings is actually a bit harder than the initial install of the lift kit. Basically have to remove the lift kit piece by...
Process for me was done on the ground. I have a 2 post lift in my shop but it's currently consumed with a project truck cut in half on it at the moment so I had to go old school with a jack and jack stands.
I jacked up under one end of the truck, placed jack stands under the frame by the lower...
Anyone else on here get the TSB replacement bushings and start tackling the replacement? Man some of mine are toast, good thing they're getting changed out now with updated ones. I will say though, the job has been a real pain- taking me about 3hrs per pair of links to remove links, disassemble...
I bought the special grease from RK and greased them with 2 pumps of grease a week after install and then 1 more pump when I noticed the noises developing around a month-month and a half after install, plus sprayed the outsides of the joints with WD per RK's instructions in the install sheet...
Thanks, I'll probably install the brace this weekend. I did torque to spec on install, but it seems some of the washboarded roads around me determined it to not be torqued enough, even with my tires down at 15psi.
On the rear if I'm noticing clunks at certain times do you recommend anything...
Bump for feedback since my post seems to have been missed
@Rock Krawler Suspension
Small update... Purchased the brace but havent installed it yet. Also blasted the front sway bar link ends with WD40 and it seems to have quieted the 'creaking' noises I was hearing for the most part. Still seems...
So after chasing some clunks that have developed in my suspension when hitting a bump, it looks as though my front track bar frame mount has developed some play/elongated the hole(can watch bolt move side to side when the steering wheel is turned left/right when parked). The bolt is red...
I've got the Falcon's on mine. Big mistake IMO, I just can't stand them after putting some miles on them. I should have researched more before choosing shocks but a lot of people spoke highly of them, however I'm not going to be another one.
They're digressive valving so while it tends to...
My stock JTR got about 16.5 city, and around 19-20 freeway at 70-75mph. Stock on 37s I dropped about 1 mpg in both(calibrated with Tazer and verified at the pump).
Now Lifted 3" with 37" Yokohama MTs I'm sitting at about 14.5-15.5 city now. Havent done enough highway driving to get an accurate...
I installed the Falcon 2.1's, the rear being 28.5" extended required me to run Evo extended rear brake lines as the factory were at least 2" too short at droop. I also had to extend the sway bar end links from the 13" RK recommends out to about 13 7/8". in order to keep the angle more...
Coilover benefits:
Can choose custom spring setups for vehicle weight. Not stuck with the spring rate chosen by the lift manufacturer!
can dial in the crossover between the 2 springs of a dual rate coilover
can use spring preload collar to dial in desired ride height, and therefore the...
I'll check with RK on the cost of the upgrade kit w/ Brackets and coilovers, otherwise I'll probably go with this setup that I have my eye on https://accutuneoffroad.com/product/front-bolt-on-jeep-jl-coilover-kit-2/
Coming from Toyotas, I run King shocks/coilovers on everything so the JT just...
