Hi Benny,
We are thinking about replacing an older insane audio radio with the 8.4". Started out with the 5" in a 2020 Gladiator.
Can you source that? Couldn't find it on your site.
If available, do you still do a military discount?
Thanks!
Elizabeth
Doubtful but for what it is worth, I included the link to your video when I sent them a note on the issue.
I found a couple of t slots that would probably work (1 on McMaster Carr and 1 on MSC), but going to go ahead and do the grinding today and try and get the bars on while I have some time.
Yep, bought a few of the stainless variety a while back. The 5/16" high on the table slot portion is the measurement that doesn't work with the trail rail system. It needs to be ~ 1/4" high or so to not protrude out of the rail and properly lock down.
Received my voodoo cross bars this past week and just verified that the t nuts supplied are the exact same dimensions as the toyota t nuts (mentioned by original poster above) I picked up a few months back. The video very clearly demonstrates the issue, so really curious how this didn't come up...
Not yet. Just ordered the bars a couple of days ago and hope to have them installed this weekend or early next week. Need to pick out a ski rack and a couple of other accessories next...
Did get a $20 military discount from Voodoo.
I don't think the hang over will be too bad. I have a step on...
Seems like a good option to me. From what I can tell I like the quality of the billie bars a little better and the molle panels are a nice touch and another option, but ended up ordering the KB voodoo bars because they should work better with my tonneau cover. I also liked the idea of the...
"The problem with the T nuts is the dimension parallel to the bolt hole is too big causing the T nut to protrude beyond the trail rail and its impossible to tighten anything to the trail rail because it bottoms out on the T nut first and the T nut just wobbles around inside the trail rails."
I...
I have the same setup as the original poster and am thinking about this for skis this Winter.

Same here.
Had 2 initial issues. Had some speaker noise and wired the backup camera incorrectly. Reinstalled everything late last night and it seems to be working fine. There are video instructions on Insane's website now which are very easy to follow.
I'll post additional information next...
I've decided over the past couple of days that I'm going with the new unit that Insane Audio is releasing. I don't care much for the IA logo, but guessing I'll find just about everything else about it appealing.
