Yeah, thatās what I thought too.
The tech plugged his gizmo in and first thing he did was measure height from ground to bottom of wheel opening on fender and entered it into his programmer. It all went out of whack after that.
I have a 3ā lift so Iām pretty sure thatās what the issue is. Like...
Iām in now too.
I had about 20k on OEM windshield and just replaced it.
It suffered the following:
Small chip upper left driver side just this summer and had it repaired same day. Cost to Progressive insurance co. $60.
They raised my premium $50/month after that. I immediately dumped āem and...
GREAT NEWS!
I just replaced my RK Rear Lower control arms with Metalcloakās and the insane squeaking noise coming from the rear and into the cabin is 98% GONE!!!.
The only squeak I get now is from the upper arms and then itās only by intentionally jumping up and down on the rear bumper.
I have...
Make sure you check your pinion angle between the driveshaft and pinion as well.
According to RK instructions the pinion should be 2 degrees upwards from the driveshaft with the suspension loaded.
My dealer had my tires at 42 psi when I picked up new and when I drove it home I thought something...
The Pro arms also have 2 set screws, 1 on each side of the grease fitting on the adjustable end with the jam nut. Did you buy the arms and give them to the shop or did they get them for you?
The pro arms cost more new as well.
I have a complete set of Rock Krawler Pro-X control arms for sale and they come complete with a full set of brand new bushings that use the new and improved BASF material.
They have been painted red and have no rust and only 15,000 street miles on them.
These arms are already adjusted to the...
I believe the RK TSB#2 pertains only to the Pro X series. They have grease fittings on them.
The Adventure series are āMaintenance Freeā and no grease fittings and has a different adjustable joint end and hopefully doesnāt use junk from Daystar.
I purchased the Rear Upper Adventure series arms...
This post is an update to the Rock Krawler TSB2 joint replace/rebuild/Daystar fiasco.
I just got off the phone with 2 different shops and they tell me Daystar is only offering to reimburse their labor cost via a purchase credit for their products. 1 of the shops I talked to wants no part of...
Iām running the stock 35 MTās and got lots of props on the looks.
Yeah they look a bit on the small side but they make the lift look taller too.
Waiting to burn up the OEās before I get new ones.
If youāve torqued all those jam nuts as recommended you shouldn't to have worry about them coming loose. Itās odd that yours have. The threads holding the joint into the arm can fail and cause the entire arm to fail and come apart at that joint.
RK stresses how important that torque is and to...
Was your mechanic reimbursed Or were you left on the hook for it?
In either case, how much was the bill?
Iāve talked with several shops and the only one I found that would even think of this is leary and finds it very strange that he has to call Daystar. Even then, heās leary of getting paid by...
Thats what Im afraid of. The old:
Promise āem anythingā¦ā¦
Just donāt give it to āem.
Iām still trying to figure out why we have to deal with Daystar at all.
We didnāt buy the kit from them.
So now that youāve paid a shop to do it, whatās the guarantee youāll be reimbursed?
How much was the...
Regarding the Rockrawler TSB#2ā¦ā¦..
Has anyone yet had their bushings replaced either by a shop or done themselves and did Daystar reimburse the shop or any amounts to DIYāers?
If so, how much was the reimbursement?
How long did it take either the shop or yourself to complete the work?
I had the same issue and wasnāt comfortable with them being so tight.
The sway bar and links were the only thing keeping them from breaking and they were screaming at best. I opted for the extensions and also bought a pneumatic one mand bleeder for the install.
Now thereās slack in the brake...
Any idea on cost or time for removing 8 arms, rebuilding 14 joints and reinstalling the 8 arms?
I just called 2 shops that install lift kits on trucks and they donāt want to even bother with contacting a 3rd party for reimbursement.
Not looking too good here.
