I just used Windows. Right click the Drive in File Explorer and choose Format. It should present you with different options for NTFS, FAT32, etc. NTFS worked fine for me. FAT32 can't go beyond a certain drive size (I think 32 GB).
I agree, it does pick a weird play order some times. For the most part, it plays them alphabetically by artist, then by song name, but not always. And sometimes, it skips around by album. It might have something to do with the Artist Name vs. Contributing Artist fields in the file metadata...
I dumped everything to the root folder and it seems to be working. If you're having trouble with the artist names or the album cover showing correctly, I suggest a free utility called MP3Tag that can fix that up.

I don't recall that it took took long to build the browse list (a couple minutes?), and it was a one-time thing, unlike my Hyundai Tucson, which takes 10 minutes every time I turn the car on...
I put them all into the root folder of the USB stick. It took a long time, but it worked! I wish I could have kept the directory structure because the UConnect audio system can maneuver and play songs within folders, but I'd rather have all the songs available.
UConnect does sort the sorts a...
I can confirm that Deride is a genius! I got all 4300 of my songs into one folder and now the Jeep can see all of them. It took about five minutes to read the whole thing, but it's working well!
I found a free utility called Folder Merger (free!) for Windows that can take all of your folders...
That's pretty cool that you got it to work! At least it shows that the system is capable of reading something bigger than 16 GB... How would a PC person be able to make a MacOS formatted USB drive and be able to copy files to it from a PC?
I got the soft, roll-up one when I ordered the Jeep (factory-installed). It works pretty well and is easy to roll up. Sometimes getting it latched involves a little stretching of the fabric, but it's not too hard. I noticed that the fabric is sagging a little after owning it for 2 years.

Mine won't read any of the files past 16 GB, so about half of my songs show up in the 8.4" Alpine system. Sadly, my 2014 Camry can read a 128 GB USB drive with no issues, but my 2020 Gladiator can't get past a 16 GB. @JeepCares, I submitted this as an issue almost two years ago now, is there a...
Mine gets pretty warm and stays that way. My hands get very cold sometimes and suck the heat out of wherever I'm holding, so I shift them around the steering wheel. But the heated steering wheel is a MUCH appreciated option.
I did that just recently with my stock Overland. It had just started raining, so I'm guessing that oily layer (and going a little too fast) did the trick. The truck plowed a little first, which had me more confused than anything, but then the rear kicked out, and then I knew what was going on...
Mine's a dark color, so I don't notice what you're seeing but d'oh!
I have the manual transmission, so I can push down on the clutch to keep the auto-shutoff from happening for short lights, but I do like having it available to turn off for those endless lights. It's a little odd that it won't...
There is an open recall on the manual about overheating if the torque/temperature is too high (solution pending), but I've never experienced any issues. Other than gears 5 & 6 having zero power, I really like my MT, very smooth shifting and very solid feel. The MT was the reason I went Jeep...
I like the adaptive cruise control. I don't get to use it often, but it's pretty nice for long trips. I also like that you can increase or decrease your following distance by pushing a couple of buttons. What's also cool as the cruise control stays engaged, even when you shift (I have a...
I had the cold weather package and the floor mats weren't properly installed, but my dealer and I got them fitted properly, and we put the plugs in the holes for the front and I did the ones in back. It's pretty easy to pop them in yourself.
Hi! I'm a new Gladiator owner too - my dealer recommended shifting in and out of 2H/4H a couple of times, and it is MUCH easier now. The first couple of times, I'm glad I was stopped, because I would have been driving up over the curb from the effort. It's still a little bit of an effort, but...
