  1. Truck Cap for the Jeep Gladiator

Great video! One thing I see in the instructions on their website is that the problematic front clip is not shown at all. However, the instructions clearly say "Ranger 2.0" in my browser tab but the truck shown is Gladiator. I wonder if they had a design change recently?
  2. iPhone connected to Uconnect Wifi, still in LTE

Howdy folks. My iPhone is connected to Uconnect Wifi, says so in my WiFi settings on the phone, and also under the Wifi setup page on Uconnect. Yet, my phone says LTE where you expect to see the Wifi symbol. I walk into my office, or home, the phone immediately connects to wifi and LTE goes...
  3. SiriusXM sucks on 2021 Jeep Gladiator.

HH owner here, the one SA strip that would affect the antenna is shorter than the other SA strips by design. I have not had any issues. It's been roughly 1.5 yrs since I installed HH so maybe they changed their instructions.
  4. Anyone have any experience with Insane Audio?

One of the things I liked about my old OEM 430N head unit in my JK was the display option for Sirius. I could set it to show, 6 at a time, stations presets or the artist on each station or the song being played. It allowed me to browse and not miss songs. Sadly, UC4 did not bring this feature...
  5. Be careful IF and WHEN you replace your windshield - w/Safety Group

I have the Safety Group, Safelite replaced my windshield last week. The guy said it re-calibrated fine, sent the certificate, and all that. He told me at 40 MPH everything would activate and all would be working as normal. However past 40 nothing happened and I was under the impression that...
  6. Gladiator Hardtop Hoist

I wanted to get my hardtop off for a headliner install and I don't have a hoist yet, my wife is too short to help me lift, and lifting myself would not be ideal given my hernias. So I unscrewed the top, flipped it over onto my Mopar soft, tri-fold bed cover, slid it down to the end of the bed...
  7. What I wish my Gladiator had.

    1) The JK 430N head unit had 3 display settings for Sirius channels: a) List the station names b) List the artist c) List the song playing That way it was easy to easily scan up to 6 (I think) stations instantly just by looking at the screen. It is surprising this functionality did not make...
  8. Hard Top or Soft

3rd Jeep, 1st hardtop. I’m happy with it. I put the panels in the bed that includes the tri-fold cover. I kind of like leaving the back half of the top on. It keeps my young kids cool, shaded, and they prefer it that way during June-August. That being said, if a total fold down top is ever...
  9. HOTHEADS headliner review

Good grief this is an amazing idea! I just ordered my oak set and now I need to go dig up my old navy, sports teams, and Beatles patches. So how did you attach them? Hot glue gun?
  10. Your Jeep's name

If this was a few months ago if be like "Huh?". Now midway through season 4. I started watching when doing cardio in the basement.
  11. Your Jeep's name

This x100. As a USN vet I'd totally go this route. I'd consider CV-60 on the sides and then SARATOGA in the back.
  12. Your Jeep's name

    Thanks!
  13. Your Jeep's name

My daughter thought Firecracker Red looked like Twizzlers candy. She told me to name the Jeep that.
  14. Interior Trim Fit and Finish

So not exactly lol. I now believe it is the rear guide pin of the panel rubbing against rubber grommet pin socket. I tried silicone lube and felt, still getting squeaking. I think the pin is pressed so hard against the felt, the felt is now rubbing against the grommet. What good is that pin...
  15. Interior Trim Fit and Finish

Confirmed solution!!! I bought some silicone lubricant spray at Lowes, wiped down the seals thoroughly, and no more popping. Oh man, that was driving me crazy. I'm assuming this will be another periodic maintenance thing and that is ok. Nothing beats the Jeep community!
  16. Interior Trim Fit and Finish

Thanks! I'll try that. I am now convinced it is the freedom panel, near the upper bolt for the main hardtop. I have pretty much tried to insert foam pipe insulator into the trim where possible. Also when I take the tops off, the popping goes away.
  17. Wranglers don't wave

I wave to Wranglers and older XJs (always wanted one). I don't wave to other Jeeps or Wranglers with angry grills, eye lashes (yes I have seen it), or if their soft top is not folded properly. Ok the last one is a joke but it bothers me.
  18. 8.4 radio suddenly sounds horrible

Yup, owned since August and I have had 3 distorted events, 1 muted, and several freezes. All fixed by leaving the ignition off long enough for the system to reset. And all issues are across all inputs: Sirius, FM, and CarPlay.
  19. Interior Trim Fit and Finish

Anyone have a loose rattle or popping from their interior trim? I can’t tell if the right freedom panel is loose or vibrating, or if plastic trim is loose. it’s like a popping or loose rattle, when I go over bumps as if the top is flexing or the trim is flexing.
  20. Alpine x409 Replacement Headunit Review

In my JK with the OEM 430N (iirc) nav unit, I could set my radio view to show what song was playing on my 6 presets at once. Sadly, I can’t do that in the JT. Can we do that with the Alpine? I have the Alpine upgrade in the JT, would this head unit be better paired with a speaker upgrade...
