UPDATE.
In case anyone is following this thread I just wanted to give an update. I finally got my Jeep back to the shop that did the work. Turns out the RC front driveshaft was defective, something about shape (sorry don't remember exact wording) and also had a bad u-joint maybe cause by the...
My 2020 Gladiator Rubicon launch edition is my 6th new Jeep since 97.
Jeep use to be a vehicle the average person could afford. Sadly, the pricing has gone way too much towards luxury for the masses, and less economical utility machine that the average person can buy, modify, and take on...
Thanks ShadowsPapa. The shop is actually ordering in Teraflex adjustable upper arms just in case a new driveshaft does not correct the issue. I will keep this info to show them should they want to go that route. I had death wobble back with my first Jeep, a TJ, but haven't had it since, so I...
Hey all, thanks for all the great replies and info. I'm sending some of it to the shop that did the lift and new driveshaft. Hoping they can resolve the issue soon. All this snow is making me want my 4WD.
So if I got a driveshaft with a double Cardan on both ends if such a thing exists would...
I've checked all the bolt torques and confirmed the driveshaft doesn't wiggle or feel loose when turning by hand. All the u-joints seem good, but I'm wondering if the angle is too much for them and if that might be causing the noise?
Yeah I think so as it happens when as soon as I put the Jeep into 4WD and the front shaft starts to spin. Otherwise it's nice and quiet.
If I'm not giving it gas it is much quieter, not sure about barely touching gas. I can try that.
Thanks but no rubbing that I can see. I think that's more of a problem for the thicker factory driveshaft with any lift 4" or more. The aftermarket driveshaft is much narrower and seems to have lots of space.
Hey All,
Just got a new 4" Ready LIft installed on my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. Along with the new lift they installed a Rough Country front CV driveshaft.
When I throw the Jeep into 4WD I can hear the front driveshaft which I never did with the stock driveshaft on a 2" lift. Also the new...
Hi 3lseeker, I'm looking at buying this kit in the next couple days for my Gladiator. Just wondering if you have any update on how you feel about the kit overall and the quality of the components? Bushings in good shape, shocks ok, is it rusting? Thanks.
I bought my 2020 launch edition Rubicon in 2019.
Warranty fixes include:
1. snapping/cracking sound specially in 4WD - front axle shaft replaced
2. 3.6l Pentastar engine tick. (had same issue in my 2012 JK 2-door)
Otherwise it has been amazing.
Almost out of warranty re: mileage so also...
I looked on their website, but no front camera on their Jeeps with this bumper. I emailed them to see if they have any idea but haven't heard back yet. Thanks for the reply.
I have the front factory camera on my 2020 Gladiator. For now I have the stock steel bumper, but I really like the look of some aftermarket bumpers with stingers, hoop, bull bars or whatever you call them.
My first choice is the Fab Fours Stubby (after seeing it on the AccuAir Jeep) so if...
I'd give it an 7 out of 10. It is very easy to flip the front open and not too much trouble to pull out the back window. I was able to pull out the back window, store it in the panel on on the back part of the top, flip the back forward, the front back and strap the whole thing over the roll bar...
