Not to sound like a smartass, but asking PSC would be good.
While keeping an eye on this issue, I've been wondering if the aftermarket (like PSC) has, or is building, a solution. Of course, you want your warranty to be used to fix the problem, but at what point (which will differ from...
I was thinking a trigger guard holster (for those who don't know what this is, Google this for pics, etc.) tied off to something so it pops off when drawn would fix this.
The next time you have a chance to bounce a vehicle up-n-down that has the shocks removed, but the springs still installed, do it. :) You'll learn real quick where the resistance comes from.
While us Americans call them "shocks", most of the rest of the world calls them "dampers." They dampen...
It doesn't matter how long the sway bar links are, in this case. The length has nothing to do with it feeling "floaty."
If you don't like how it feels, then you need to figure out what to change to fix it. I'm betting the added height from the lift is more than the stock sway bar likes. That...
How much rear shock travel is there with that Metalcloak lift? That dictates how long the sway bar links should be. The recommendation is for the end link to be as long as the shock travel, if not a little longer.
If you want to buy something "in a heartbeat" then either do so, or don't say so.
And don't use the "deployment" card on me. Are you in a "war zone"? Every "deployment" I did was to a war zone, and I didn't have the time to talk about buying something "in a heartbeat" on forums.
I appreciate...
There is an easy technique to help a front end problem show itself. One person behind the wheel, working it back and forth (wiggling it), and an observer on the ground looking at the front end.
I've found multiple things this way (improperly torqued tie rod ends, bad bushings in track rods...
These two items came to my mind also. What I don't see, @Bjeepz , is an answer to these (if I missed them, please accept my apology ahead of time). The JKS lift should have adjustable links, so dialing in the alignment is possible. Did the shop provide a printout of the alignment, and was the...
It's not. It will only protect against mild efforts to damage the wheel edge. The rubber will deflect under substantial pressure and the wheel edge will take damage.
My wheeling rig had MTs with these, and mounted on steel wheels. That edge was ground down in many spots offroading.
Amazon lists the "item weight" as 67 lbs: https://www.amazon.com/Havoc-Offroad-Synthetic-Fairlead-Remote/dp/B07J9N9KVD
I don't trust those much, but that sounds reasonably accurate.
I Googled the phone number. Comes back to another business in IL not in the same city, but with a matching website look:
Midwest Jeep "Contact Us" page:
"Axle Hut" "Contact Us" page:
It also came back for some companies in Colorado, but I didn't dig into those and here's one of the "Contact...
