Facebook?!? @johnparjr says “hold my beer!” Brother is watching the morning news on his iPad, checking his calendar on his iPhone, and rolling through town in rush hour! Mad skillz…
Hey Radio,
I didn’t want a full-time tall rack, so purchased the 10” and attached an easy built uni-strut assembly to carry a SUP/kayak above the cab. See photo.
I took a chance on the 10 inch Max-Modular- hoping I would still be able to roll open my Rugged Ridge hard rolling tonneau. Well... success! The build quality of the Max Modular is fantastic and I’m able to roll the tonneau almost all the way open. See photos. The “riser” is a super strut fab I...
Yeah, I’ve had this RR tonneau for a while - long enough to have fiddled with various seals and rail adjustments as well. I’m really wondering how well it coexists with the bed rack setup you have pictured.
@TRI-JAB what tonneau cover do you have? Looks like the Rugged Ridge hard rolling cover. If so, looks like it works with this setup. Did you have to modify the cover install at all? Other thoughts or comments on your experience with this?
I’m still waiting on mine to come in for the install - hopefully sometime this month. Can’t wait to get this fixed! I don’t think my knuckles can handle another trip on the highway towing my single-axle-trailered boat.
To add on to Riccochet's comment's, I went wheeling a few weeks ago on some bandit trails near Wake Forest with a buddy of mine. He has a lifted JL with 35's and obviously the shorter wheel base and had no problem. I got high-centered in one spot and scraped my rear hitch a couple of times...
Just took mine in this morning. Leith Chrysler Jeep in Raleigh. At first the tech tried to tell me that they had already replaced my box a few months ago, so I wouldn’t qualify for the new TSB repair. I called bullshit, and he said they would take a look. He came out 30 minutes later and said...
I have the RR Hard Rolling Tonneau, and, like others have posted on these boards, am VERY happy with the look, function and quality of the cover. I was not happy with the fiddling and modifications it took to get it to fit and seal properly, but am happy now that that's behind me.
I would get...
Surprised to hear both that the product failed and that their service was less than spectacular. Based on pretty much every other experience on these boards and elsewhere, this seems to be an isolated issue. I am still deciding, but likely going with the 67 Designs due to the overwhelmingly...
Thanks... this is the first Jeep I've owned, and was beginning to buy into the idea that loose steering is just a "Jeep thing". The tight steering on the JL they loaned me showed how bogus that idea is.
I had my JTR in last month for servicing and they agreed the steering was loose - to my pleasant surprise, they immediately said they would replace the steering box. The JL they loaned me for a few days while the repair was being done had NIGHT AND DAY tighter steering.
When I got my JTR back...
TruxEdo LoPro, Extang Trifecta, Rugged Ridge, Gator EFX/SFX all Made in USA. These can be found in the $200-$300, some models more. While not as cheap as a Chinese cover, they are close, and certainly a rounding error when you consider the total cost of a Gladiator. To me, its worth a few extra...
Bulletproof, unfortunately, seems to be another company (like GearAmerica) using naming and imagery to give the impression that their products are made in USA.
Unfortunately they are NOT. Like GearAmerica, their products come from China. Here’s the response I got from them when I inquired...
Definitely requires some tweaking. I didn’t use the foam strips either and have been planning on using a seal similar to the one you mentioned. Do you have photos of how this new seal looks?
