  1. Service 4WD + Parksense Error - 4Low Only

Root cause: my stupidity. Really basic issue. With my Tazer I had recently reset, I set my high ratio to 5.13 and left the low ratio at 4.10 stock. So, when I shifted to low, it would flip out.
  2. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

I didn’t. Too concerned about quality after having quality issues with Milestar. I ended up getting Baja Boss MTs; totally different tire.
  3. Service 4WD + Parksense Error - 4Low Only

Interesting. Definitely let me know. I just can't really envision how this isn't the TC. Sounds like your repairs have been covered under warranty (?).
  4. Service 4WD + Parksense Error - 4Low Only

There are a handful of threads on here regarding the "SERV 4WD" dash error, but mine doesn't seem to align to those. Here's what happens: Shift TC into 4-High - truck drives just fine Shift to Neutral, shift TC to 4-Low, return to Drive - shortly after forward movement, 3 on-screen messages...
  5. Fire Fire! My Gladiator burned down

So sorry to hear about this. Sorry if I missed this elsewhere in the chain, but what exactly was your start-stop issue? Asking because my ESS randomly stopped working about half a year ago. Every time I turn on the truck, I get an error saying the service isn't available because the battery is...
  6. Quake LED Flickering

Anyone had issues with Quake LED DRLs? These are about 16 months old, maybe 10k miles. Assuming their 50k hour rating is accurate, and assuming I mostly drive faster than 0.2mph, I’d say these should still be working. Awfully expensive to need to replace so early . Note: similar story for both...
  7. DV8 new rear bumper, looks pretty promising!

If you take a look at the DV8 brackets (check their site), you'll see that this receiver was meant to fit right over them. I welded the receiver "inside" of a steel bracket/enclosure. So, instead of just welding it to a plate, it's welded-to and running-through a plate, under the frame, and then...
  8. DV8 Ultra-Slim High Clearance Rear Bumper

Wrote a post with some pictures on another thread if anyone's interested in this bumper: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/dv8-new-rear-bumper-looks-pretty-promising.48987/ Here's a pic (plenty of modifications to make this bumper useful):
  9. DV8 new rear bumper, looks pretty promising!

I bought this rear bumper a while back with the specific intent of modifying it and adding a custom bedside slider. Might be useful for folks considering it. Pros Loved the clearance and "tucked in" design Loved the hidden hitch design (hitch itself, different story) Liked that I could still...
  10. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

Hadn't heard about those until yesterday. After reading about them, I wonder if they'll be different enough. I like the tire as-is, minus the balancing and uneven wear issue. If that's solved for, then that's great, but I'm hesitant. I've been trying to get in touch with Milestar or Tireco to...
  11. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

I asked how mine balanced and the 4WP guy said they balanced fine. In hindsight, the dude I asked didn’t balance them and probably just made an assumption. The real answer was probably “ehh, they might be OK.” Never seen so many tire weights. Might’ve even lost some and that’s what got my...
  12. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

Welcome to Colorado! I grew up in Winston-Salem. On the Duratracs, I wish I could explain the situation better. By all measures, the Duratracs should be great for everyone in snow. I’m not sure if the size or tire pressure or WK2 matchup or something else caused the problem for me. I took off...
  13. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

I hear ya. On the KO2s, those usually measure about 1.5” smaller than stated, so it’s a sizable drop. So glad someone agrees with me on Duratracs! It’s absolutely a fair point on the tire brand quality. I think my issue is that none of the top brands currently make what I’m hunting for and I’m...
  14. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

Dude, we’ve been through literally all of the same stages here. I thought all of that. Even tried adding, removing, or shifting around weight in the bed, trying every combination of Falcon shock adjustments, etc. At one point I wondered if my axle tubes were bent slightly from my trusses being...
  15. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

Hate to hear you’re dealing with that, but also glad I’m not alone, haha. Took a closer look at my tires this evening and realized the ones that used to be up front wore incredibly unevenly on the inside tread. Now with those in the rear, I would imagine that’s causing the vibration. I can even...
  16. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

Again, super helpful. Totally understand the “floaty” ride description. Also, I realized after replying that there’s actually a Patagonia MT 2.0 and I came across the XT by mistake. Ironically, the XT is pretty much exactly what I’m looking for. Supposedly available in 40x13.5R17 but...
  17. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

Super helpful! No, I hadn’t heard of the Patagonia XT and I’ll definitely have to throw that into the mix for consideration. Looks like it comes in 40” D-load. Those Gladiator ATs are only E-load, in addition to being a brand I don’t know anything about. Just wondering if the XT will also have...
  18. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

Don't mean to scare you on the Patagonias. The bounce and vibration certainly took some time to set-in, and it's really bothersome, but they otherwise have been really impressive tires. Hopefully they stay great for you. Funny you stay that, because it wasn't long before this last rotation...
  19. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

Right, same here. I never chalk tested, but found that they rode "best" around 32psi. The bouncing is pretty much inescapable for me at this point. I think the crowned design is what is contributing to the odd wear, which might be more pronounced for larger tires.
  20. Goodbye Milestar Patagonia, Hello Gladiator X-Comp A/T?

I've wondered about Mickey Thompsons before. I think the trick there is that if I wanted to give the Gladiator set a shot, they're relatively inexpensive. With Mickey Thompsons, it feels like you've got to be really, really confident before you make your purchase. Agreed on the manufacturers...
