Wondering if anyone's tried out the Gladiator brand X-Comp A/T tires. Here's some background:
What I'm looking for:
40" tire
Able to hold a conversion while driving
Doesn't make you feel like you're able to die in variable snow
Relatively sufficient in other respects
Patagonia Problems:
Right...
No issues yet. Yep, I drilled through the roof. I had some rubber gaskets so that made it much easier to seal. On the interior, it's not noticeable at all. The trick is making sure you've got a relatively easy way to disconnect it in the event of a hardtop removal.
Ended up relocating the stock antenna to the roof rack using a 4' extension cable. Rerouted the cable from the front (Maximus-3 mount location) to the rear, added the extension cable (saved splicing, and can now be easily disconnected when removing the hard top), then just used the same...
I’m making very simple point: don’t promise it’ll ship next week if you aren’t sure. I’d much rather hear “it could realistically take 2-3 months, and we’ll let you know if that changes.” Not blaming RK for this or Northridge specifically, just saying that some proper expectations go a long way...
Ordered mine from Northridge4x4 on February 23rd and it still hasn't shipped from RK. Northridge has said "it should ship next week" for multiple weeks. I'm hoping to get it before May at this point. I get the staffing issues, but some accurate expectations would be reasonable.
Installed a Rhino Rack 52x56 on the roof and, not surprisingly, the SiriusXM service starting cutting out non-stop. Purchased a Maximus-3 relocation bracket and relocated the antenna to just above the driver visor. Still cuts out regularly, though maybe a bit less.
Now I'm thinking about...
Does anyone know what the factory rake is? I've read conflicting estimates, from 1.25-2.00". I actually like a good rake, so I'm weighing the option of this 3" lift and throwing a small spacer in the rear.
