I would go with the 313. I went back and forth between these and ended up with the matte black 308s since I wanted to stay close to factory wheel weight and I liked the look. Unless you are running sub 10psi off road a lot I would not worry about bead issues.
My experience towing at max capacity at 70 mph over a pass in VA was I noticed the temp start to rise a little bit (don't remember the exact number it peaked out at but enough to know it moved) but as soon as I hit the top and leveled out the temp dropped like a rock back down to the normal...
That's a bummer. I tested my 4wd on Peters Mill Run at nearly the same time in early November. Went north to south and did nearly half in 4H before moving into 4L. It was tight but not impossible and no gear grinding. The popping out and not getting the indicator light makes me think it...
Tongue weight is defiantly an issue as the whole exercise began with less about what can be pulled and more about what can you pull within the payload rating. You can reduce the weight of the truck (remove stuff) or reduce the tongue weight (risky as you need at least 10% for stability).
I...
For what its worth my DEF consumption is significantly higher than with my Gen2 EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee but I have been towing quite a bit. Of course I did have a GDE tune on that so it is not a good comparison although 10k for a DEF refill is a bit of a stretch. It is a good thing the...
The rubicon rock rails are 33.2 lb each plus the weight of the hardware. The rear rails (not including the huge bracket behind the rear fender) are 7 lb. each.
The idea was lower the weight of the tow vehicle to handle more payload not tow beyond the GCWR. It is a simple math exercise...
I have towed at the spec'd limits (confirmed by a CAT scale) and it pulls great. The only thing I noticed was the temps rising on an extended grade (~5-6%) over a pass in western VA but never got above 3/4 of the gauge and I was doing 70 and the air temp was 75. Temp dropped back down as soon...
Not sure what you mean by "does the dash light up" specifically. I do not get any of the messages or warning lights others are getting. The backlight and the green/red light on the knob itself only light up when the trailer is connected but do seem to light up initially when you restart the...
9/11/20 was my build date. It is also a diesel but I don't think that makes a difference with the BCM related functions like the trailer wiring.
When I get some time I will hook AlphaOBD back up and scroll through some of the functions that are enabled/disabled on my BCM because I still...
I took my trailer on a 500 mile trip through the mountains of western VA with this controller and it did work flawlessly. The detent of the settings keeps the setting in place and yes the lighting only really works when the trailer is hooked up (yet seems to come on initially at startup when...
I would start with the dotted line in the bottom right. I suspect there is a different setup now or the BCM has a setting that is wrong. If the harness did not change run would side with a BCM issue. Could be a hardware change to compensate for the diode issue...
I blame California but that is just me... Remember guys, OEM manufacturers are held to a higher standard for compliance than the independent aftermarket suppliers who can sell a product and state in small print that it is not legal for sale in California (if they even bother to state that...
I see these gladiator designs more for admin/support roles. I am thinking the M677 in the 60s, flight line duty possibly an ambulance conversion etc... With upgraded axles to fit the 'standard' wheels/tires the payload could see a significant increase. There are plenty other heavy armor...
649 being delivered from GM isn't exactly a massive run of military vehicles. There are probably that many humvees within a 5 mile radius of my current location (which includes an army base).
I had the same issue when I installed mine. Instructions and provided hardware are crap. I installed rivnuts in the top holes to accept the bolt then used the screws with the expanding rubber on the bottom. Holds fine.
