I’ve posted photos of before and after of my LE being done. It’s more about the color correction and making sure the paint has been prepped and polished nicely. If the ceramic is applied over a scratched up vehicle, it will bead the water but the scratches will still remain.
So yes one could do...
What Shadowpapa said...Each dealer will have their own vendors, in house, products etc that will be used. Some will be better than others. My dealership like I said fired the one that did the work on mine as there had been other complaints in the past. I’ve also had it done on two previous JKs...
I got it done and it’s a waste of money to have a dealership do it. Their “paint protection” is just a paint sealant. When the dealership outsourced mine to be done...it was so bad, the paint came back worse than when it was new off the floor. The sales manager had to personally inspect mine 3...
Stay well! If it gets really bad hepa-filter a safe room in the home. Use painters tape to keep some of the worse of the smoke out if it’s really that bad. The asthma isn’t one to mess around with especially if the smoke doesn’t clear out for days or weeks. My daughter has a mild case of asthma...
New Vegas....I haven’t delved into that game, but I sure know the difference from others in the series!
I don’t even want to think about how bad it is. I’ve heard enough of the horror stories amongst the FF brotherhood to imagine what people are going through right now. I haven’t even watched...
I hope there’s no way they’re squeezing into the bed somehow where they’ll chew through the bedrug I’ve installed.
No ash here in Vancouver. My daughter was complains of a headache just being outside though. Then she sent me this...yesterday we were ranked 5th worse city in the world for air...
My neighbour did exactly that. He was admiring the ceramic coating on my Gladiator for weeks before he started watching diy youtube videos. He was already waxing and polishing his black Audi so he felt comfortable doing the ceramic himself. It looks pretty good and he’s happy with it. Definitely...
For a professional job for $1000 that’s pretty good. That said...what you pay for is the color correction first and the ceramic application while important I believe is secondary. I’ve included what my Gladiator looked like before, and after. It makes all the difference if the paint is prepped...
Ok so I thought I had mice in my place the other day when I went to eat a pack of trail mix and there was a hole chewed through it. Not happy...
Today however, my boys and I are sitting the the back of the bed rug lined floor of the Gladiator bed having ourselves a little picnic while watching...
So I think I got that extra piece on my rear mounting bracket as well. I just assumed I was sent the wrong one but everything else matched up so I just installed it by watching their YouTube vid. I didn’t realize this was a redesign.
I haven’t seen up close what the Mojave has as I have the Rubicon which has the cut outs that allow them to be installed with the existing Rubi rails. Mine actually installed with the Ace engineering rock bolt on rock sliders as well. Would these fit more flush if they also had a cut out for the...
The one nice thing with the Falken AT’s that come with the Rubicon is they have the snowflake on them which where I live in Canada means I don’t have to also get snow rated tires for the winter. I like the look of MT’s but the snowflake rating of the AT’s make it more of a viable option for me...
I never washed my Gladiator from December to July then took the plunge to get it ceramic coated. From there I have an unopened CG Honeydew soap I haven’t used yet because I’m finishing up the Turtle Wax soap I bought at Costco. I use this with a foam canon and it works producing nice suds...
