I think that’s where some of the confusion was intially. There was such a wide spectrum as to what people reported. From good to bad, better to worse. Couple that with each person having different tolerance points as to what feels normal to them. Which then leads to the next question...once more...
What I think these techs or sales staff should do until the new 2021’s come already installed with the new steering boxes is get into one of these fixed JT’s. Once they do, they’ll know that the “drives like every other JT” was wrong all along.
Totally agree. As I mentioned previously my partner just bought a 2020 Honda CRV and driving her vehicle and then driving mine...as you mentioned it totally steers and tracts exactly the same as her IFS does. How it handles bumps is a different for obvious reasons but that has nothing to do with...
This is good to know regarding the 2021 JL’s and JT’s. The buzz and mocking on the Bronco Nation forum’s when people talk about why they’re buying a Bronco is also how much better they IMAGINE it will drive because of the history of JL’s and JT’s of wandering on the road.
Lurking over at their...
Have the same ones! Shipping to Vancouver Canada I believe if I ordered from a reseller in eastern Canada was $900.....so I bought them for shipping that was much much less to Washington state and drove across the border to pick up a few days before the US/CAN border lockdown. Enjoy you’ll like...
Actually you’re right sadly. There’s a lot of that noise and chatter about justification out there for what at one point would be considered wrong but now it’s a gray area or even ok.
What!!!!????? That’s insane! Well...obviously this while maybe not as common as we may instinctively believe, the fact that someone feels ok admitting to it means it’s likely happening more often than we also are aware of.
The Jeep crate is the best part to take home! As well yes, as mentioned the factory parts were purchased and are yours. If they’re Rubicon takeoffs there’s a market for those to resell.
Good share. I think the best advertising is word of mouth. Same with the dealership I had mine done at. They said feel free to let those on the forums know that they’ll do the TSB there as well. Only stipulation is as others have said, that they are limited to once per week ordering of the...
Sounds like you’re next in line for the TSB. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Others on here have mentioned their service department never had the bolts either. Seems like a common miss during ordering. That said, there are others who got it right the first time. I don’t think it’s something...
Off hand I don’t recall the price. The cost of the lift was similar but they only charged me $75/hr for their installations price. So I’m pretty sure that’s cheaper than the $900 they charged.
The dealer installed my Mopar lift and because I paid for additional extra 2 yrs warranty for my JTR my Mopar lift is also extended to include the extra 2yrs. Also in Canada.
Yes ouch...there’s that whole element of the human we have to deal with that brings in the unknown factor. We don’t know what goes through the minds of those booking servicing of our Jeeps! lol
Good points. Actually that’s no different than any customer service industry. For that matter any industry. I’ve worn many hats in various careers in my lifetime and professional standards are only as good as the people working and the supervisors/managers who oversee the operations. Holding...
I guess by word of the TSB it’s up to your own tolerance for it. As an example, I texted a guy I met who owns a JTR about the TSB. He’s not on the forums so he didn’t know about it. His reply was, his drives great but thanked me for letting him know. He was fine with his and didn’t feel any need...
I agree with Shadowspapa with what he said. You may have a better tolerance for it. Frankly, if I didn’t read the forums or anything online, I may never have thought anything was wrong with mine. I drive a solid axel 1991 P40 truck for work and that thing wanders all over the place if a larger...
My steering noticeably became worse from stock to the installation by the dealer of the Mopar lift. They installed a Fox Steering Stablizer for me and it improved it where it “felt stock” again. That being said, now that I’ve gotten the TSB fix on it, it’s night and day. Zero issues and...
