  1. Overland poor man bed tent

I’m just waiting for my Napier tent to show up. Costco here in Canada has a great price for it and it includes strap protectors to protect the paint. https://www.costco.ca/backroadz-truck-tent-with-sportz-strap-protectors.product.100496615.html I also read a lot of reviews on air bed...
  2. First responder - Chrysler/Jeep/Ram drops Nurses.

I had worked both as a RN and a volunteer (retired) Firefighter for 24yrs. I wrote a term paper once while in nursing school regarding ethics in firefighting and the first responder profession. All the literature that I found spoke of the ethical nature of accepting gifts while on the job and...
  3. Bedrug for Jeep Gladiator - available now and more (update)

Thanks that’s a great tip. Didn’t think that I may want to remove it to wash out the bed from time to time.
  4. Question about touch up paint or dealer

I just made sure I read reviews on how well they did their paint correction. I think that made the big difference. Considering that the company that used to do all the work for this dealership was supposed to be able to buff and polish as a professional shop...well you can see how they messed it...
  5. Question about touch up paint or dealer

It all depends on your buffing skills and or color of your paint. Darker colors I think are a bit harder to do. Also do you see exposed metal or is it just a scratch? My paint was severely messed up when I purchased painter protection through the dealership when I bought it. It was a detailing...
  6. Bedrug for Jeep Gladiator - available now and more (update)

I’m just about to buy it from Amazon.ca and there’s a pdf file with instruction on it. Says to scuff up the liner a bit for the adhesive to help attach better. Other than that the usual cleaning the area, alcohol wipe etc.The pdf instructions are pretty explanatory and helpful.
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Canadian it was $1890 and converted over that’s around $1400 USD. I got the highest end service which is their “Gold” package. I was going to get their Silver package which probably would have been fine at $900 USD. My neighbour has a friend with a detailing business and his cost would have been...
  8. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Took the plunge and had ceramic coating done to my JT. Originally paid for paint protection when purchased from the dealer. The company they outsourced this to was terrible and in the first photo you can see what a bad job they did. It originally came back to me with swirls on it as if they...
  9. BLACK Gladiator JT Club

This Gladiator is the 4th black vehicle I’ve owned and each time I tell myself I won’t get another black one...After driving it up and down forrestry roads and never washing it once since owning in December I decided to take the plunge and get it professionally ceramic coated. Originally I paid...
  10. How popular are Gladiators where you are?

Just swung by my Vancouver dealership today and talking to the parts manager he said they sold over 100 vehicles off the lot last month. That was better than June 2019 of last year. He said the last three people buying JT’s off the lot all traded in convertible cars. They only have 1 JTR and 2...
  11. How popular are Gladiators where you are?

Here in Vancouver I know of one guy who owns one down the street. Red JTR. I saw a guy yesterday with another red JTR and a sliver one the other day. Other than that...I haven’t seen any in the last few months. Not as common in the city. I imagine in the suburbs there are more.
  12. Where did you WHEEL your Gladiator today?

Really enjoyed the videos. Would love to try something like that out one day. There’s really nothing like that up here close to Vancouver, BC. Thanks for sharing!
  13. Where did you WHEEL your Gladiator today?

I had originally invited just my dad to come out just for some site seeing on the usual forrestry roads I hit up in Squamish British Columbia, where we would then drive the Indian River Forrestry Road. My dad learned to drive on a 1945 Willy’s Jeep in his youth so I knew he would be interested...
  14. Looks like Hummer wants to be like the Gladiator...

The title of this thread reminded me of this photo of a Hummer that was used on the show I worked on. Originally it was customized for Deadpool. Canopy I believe was made by Turtle Tops.
  15. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Decided for my birthday we’d go exploring some more FSR’s. Made it to 899 meters and tried to push it to 900 meters but couldn’t quite push it past the snow line...I guess I could have really bumped it or engaged the lockers but now I have reason to come back. Doesn’t look like anyone has been...
  16. Drove a Wrangler today... My Gladiator definitely has much looser steering.

My point exactly! I’ve been super super lucky! That said...reading up on not following dump trucks, semi’s etc is something I definitely think about now. Taking my JT along the various FSR’s as of late I can hear the rocks pinging off my sliders once I get into the highway, and driving the cube...
  17. Drove a Wrangler today... My Gladiator definitely has much looser steering.

Yes...that’s another reason why I didn’t bring it up because I also thought it may have been unrelated to the steering issues others have had because mine happened after the lift.
  18. Drove a Wrangler today... My Gladiator definitely has much looser steering.

When I first picked up my JT I thought it drove like a dream. No issues at all. A few weeks later I had the Mopar 2 inch lift installed and instead of driving “better than stock” the first time I drove it at highway speeds I was spooked the first gust of wind that hit me. The first time I had to...
  19. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Drove up to almost 2300ft elevation then on the way home took a drive along the beach all within an hour drive while maintaining social distancing.
  20. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

With social distancing up here in Vancouver, BC we decided to go for a drive just before Squamish on the Mamquam forest service road. As we were driving we were passed by two ambulances and a fire department pickup truck. So what’s does a former firefighter do? We decided to follow of course...
