  1. Maximus-3 trifecta of rack solutions for the Jeep Gladiator

I do like that chase rack though.....
  2. Maximus-3 trifecta of rack solutions for the Jeep Gladiator

Bajadrifterā€™s WIN was having a functional rack solution in time to enjoy his 2020 summer, and having extra funds in his pocket for not having the prettiest rack, whatever brand it was. Love the rack design, love made in USA, especially Michigan, but a little less condescension toward the folks...
  3. Slow & Steady Overland Build

Sorry for my delay! I did not regear. So far, so good on the original 3.73 gear set, then again Iā€˜m not rock climbing. For normal driving, even at highway speeds, it has been great - if you didnā€™t remind me, I would forget that I am still on the original gears. The hood is a DV8 Rubicon...
  4. Mopar Lift with Overland Wheels

I ran 35ā€™s on my overland with Rubicon wheels and Mopar lift. Pretty sure offset / backspace is the same between the two wheels. But, 37ā€™s (see below pic) definitely rub at full lock with those same rims. Should be OK with 285/75ā€™s in 18ā€ Overland wheels, as the diameter is just under 35ā€...
  5. Arizona SOLD: Gladiator Mopar OEM Fabric Roll-Up Tonneau Cover 82215617

Gregj, this just recently sold. Thank you
  6. No Military & First Responder incentives on the Rubicon???

That sucks @FCA. But, I would still push for it at a dealer, as they have latitude. Try toward the end of a month when dealers are trying to meet their monthly sales goal. On the other hand, it does seem that people have been negotiating better than the discounts, but I may be wrong in my...
  7. No Military & First Responder incentives on the Rubicon???

I have no doubt you can find a dealer in your area who would extend a military discount to a Rubicon. Wouldnā€™t bother with a dealership that wouldnā€™t do this for you. Iā€™d skip the brand entirely if I thought it was not possible.
  8. Slow & Steady Overland Build

Yes, I installed it in hopes to reduce bugs and stones pelting the windshield at speed. I also wanted to protect the front edge of the hood, as it was starting to show micro-chips - I touched those up before installing.
  9. Mopar bed rail system is garbage

I bought Mopar rails as take-offs from someone who installed a retractable tonneau that wasnā€™t compatible. One of the end caps was broken exactly like yours. As you say, having the cap and that attachment point is a complete waste. (A smart engineer at Jeep would do well to propose a cost...
  10. Slow & Steady Overland Build

Just installed the Auto Ventshade 436148 Matte Black Aeroskin II Textured Hood Protector, which I bought on Amazon. Shipping was fast despite the prioritization of shipping resources to Covid response. It was a straightforward installation, but definitely take your time when centering and...
  11. Slow & Steady Overland Build

Thank you! Here is the Bedrug I bought. Itā€™s the version with the piece that bridges the gap between the bed and tailgate. It is held down by heavy duty Velcro and dual sided tape. I wouldnā€™t want to take out and reinstall often due to likely reducing the effectiveness of the attachments...
  12. Arizona SOLD: Gladiator Mopar OEM Fabric Roll-Up Tonneau Cover 82215617

Feel free to extend a local cash offer. Thanks
  13. Slow & Steady Overland Build

All this time at home has allowed me to finally get the VR10 installed. I followed the excellent video posted by JT Mods, with the main difference being that my Arcus bumper was already installed earlier in the build rather than all at once. I used a coat hanger to pull the positive and...
  14. Slow & Steady Overland Build

Looks like about 8ā€ rolled-up. Pretty tight considering the rigidity you get when closed.
  15. Slow & Steady Overland Build

Pretty sure it must be raised due to the inward step along each bedside of the Gladiator, as opposed to the Tacoma or Colorado, which have straight bedsides.
  16. Slow & Steady Overland Build

I am quite sure you are correct. Will pick up a rack this weekend and test.
  17. Slow & Steady Overland Build

I still have to determine whether that longitudinal slot along each rail will hold ends of a bike rack, such as a Thule or Yakima. Iā€™ll update as soon as I confirm...I suspect it does because I cannot imagine any other purpose for those slots. I have no worries about whether the system would...
  18. Slow & Steady Overland Build

I bought the BAK Revolver X4 on eBay. eBay now informs sellers when interested buyers are watching and gives them an opportunity to send a coupon to get them to buy. That happened to me and I got an offer from the seller to reduce the price to $900 shipped after the item sat on my watch list...
  19. Slow & Steady Overland Build

Itā€™s been a while, as Iā€™ve been busy cornering the market on toilet paper, rubbing alcohol, drinking alcohol and beef. Anyway, in the last month or so, Iā€™ve had the top painted white (twice because the first body shop f#%ked up and didnā€™t actually smooth it out - long story), installed a BAK...
