  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Are you adding a winch/ rear bumper?
  2. Lots are mostly empty of new vehicles!

Don't want to derail the thread, but extra style points for mentioning Kookie. Norm Grabowski, who built the Kookie car, was a very good friend of mine. He was also a world class wood carver. His hand carved wooden skulls are highly sought after. We have the world's largest collection of his...
  3. Looking for a bed rack - any options as durable/sturdy as Rebel Off Road but not as expensive?

That rack will do everything you need it to, and you can still use your lite rider. They sell their own trail rails for less than the Mopar unit.
  4. It's that pesky weight thing again

Okay, so after taking everyone's advise to heart, I did start a weight loss campaign this week. I removed the rear bumper, winch, and hitch skid plate. I put the stock bumper back on. I lost about 200 pounds with those changes. We are going to the Jeep Adventure Academy in Texas this Saturday...
  5. Anyone attend Jeep Adventure Academy before?

I'll be at the Llano Texas event this Saturday. Looking forward to meeting some folks
  6. Estimated $ spent on aftermarket mods to their JT

I've been blessed to be able to do my build as I wish. I don't really track it close, but easily over 20K.
  7. Opinion needed for Rack to haul 2 bicycles, 2 kayaks, while pulling camper

Rebel Offroad has your rack. It is full height so kayaks will fit on top. They make bicycle mounts that fit on the outside of the rack on each side. The bikes are high and close to the rack. This leaves you an empty bed for gear, and your hitch open for towing. The only thing you will need to...
  8. It's that pesky weight thing again

When I bought the Road Armour rear bumper I was told that a 33 inch tire would fit, but I didn't try it. My Kenda 35 x 10.5 will not fit. The tire hits the control box. It might work if you relocate the control box but I can't be sure. Hope that helps.
  9. It's that pesky weight thing again

  10. It's that pesky weight thing again

  11. It's that pesky weight thing again

    Cool. Will do. Thanks
  12. It's that pesky weight thing again

I don't know how to post pics, but I can take some pictures on my phone and send them to someone if they want to see it.
  13. It's that pesky weight thing again

Oops, sorry I forgot to list the ace engineering rock sliders, light rider tonneau cover. 4 max traxx, 2 gallon and 4 gallon RotoPax. I know I could loose the rear winch and bumper if I have to. I could put the stock one back on. I do needed the rack and RTT. Wife won't sleep on the ground. I...
  14. It's that pesky weight thing again

Sooo... I'm back again asking for advice on the weight of my JTR. I love my Jeep, but I'm concerned about how much weight I'm carrying. My intended use is moderate trails, overlanding, camping. I have only picked the items for my Jeep that I really wanted but the weight adds up quickly. I'd...
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Yep, I carry the best gun I have daily. I'm a 1911 guy. In a life or death situation, I want my best weapon on my side. If it is confiscated so be it.
