Ummmm....ugh. Yeah. I think you are right. JTs need a 17" rim due to the bigger brakes (I think). Well, that sucks and is also a relief because now I don't have to buy them. Thanks for bringing me back to Earth!
Maybe consider the M.O.R.E Hide-a-step? I have them and they stay nicely tucked out of the way unless you need them. No electricity or wires, just push them down with your foot and they snap back up once your foot leaves the step: https://mountainoffroad.com/collections/hide-a-step
Watched a vid about the Willy's Dispatcher concept at Easter Jeep Safari that runs a set of super skinny, retro looking tires called 'Super Traxion'.
I love pizza cutters and they look fantastic. Plus weigh a mere 50 pounds (according to one website selling them). What a lightweight way to run...
You are probably right! It is a good trade: I get the weight savings that I can put toward more useful mods like a winch. They get the cool looking hood (though I think the classic hood looks way more....classic).
Welcome. What is the SCAR?
Also, check out the Rugged Ridge Arcus bumper. It re-uses your fogs, is light weight, and includes a winch plate. Plus looks cool with the tow hooks it comes with.
Shortly after I bought my 2021 Mojave, I was able to swap the hood for a regular Sport hood. Reasons:
1. Huge weight savings. I wish I had weighed the steel Mojave hood before trading it, but is substantially heavier than stock aluminum hoods. I'd rather use that weight for other, functional...
I can vouch for the awesomeness of the company. I bought a whole leather interior from leatherseats.com and the company returned my inquiry emails very quickly and answered questions very carefully. It was nice to do business with actual human beings instead of bots or third-party response vendors.
Study by Anderson Economic Group shows (at current gas prices) that EVs cost more per mile than ICE gas engines -even when the EV is charged at home. Caveats: the study used residential electricity prices in Michigan. Rates in other states may vary. Study only measured fuel costs (not oil...
Solution: don't resell. And never do a mod. I put so much into my Jeep mods that I can never "get back", but I do them because I enjoy the Jeep more. A Jeep is different than buying an 'A to B' transportation solution. It is an experience. Like deciding to take a trip to Australia or Europe or...
Gladiator MSRP reduced, along with other Jeep models. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/chrysler/2024/02/23/jeep-cuts-us-pricing-as-new-leaders-alter-strategy-ahead-of-ev-launches/72713895007/
They are brown. I bought them from leatherseats.com as part of a leather/matching vinyl package that included the center console cover, door panel trim, three shift boots, and dashboard top panel for about $1,350 almost 3 years ago. Really great deal for all it included. Had a local installer...
