Good luck, my friend. Bought 12k version of Smittybuilt Gen 3 three years ago. Bad solenoid. They sent me new one. Then the remote cable refused to release from the winch. They sent me new one. Then the new one's remote cable also refused to release from winch. I gave up and now have the remote permanently attached to the winch and just tuck it inside the bumper with zip ties. So my experience has been bad with the overall winch quality. I will say the company does pick up their phone and did send me those several replacement parts to try to make it right. I just got tired of swapping out bad parts. I hope they have improved the quality and you have a great winch.
