  1. Bumper and winch

in addition to normal things to consider with a bumper, there are three subtle gladiator things you’ll want to figure out when choosing the bumper 1. Do you want the winch inside the bumper or do you want it to sit on top 2. Do you want to use factory fog lights 3. Skid plate options I went...
  2. Mopar 2" lift kit

The mopar kit is really cheap compared to the aftermarket kits. parts are sold separately so it’s easy to compare price. the only expensive part in the kit is the fox 2.5inch shocks( yes they cost more then 2.0s) For example, the lower control arm in the mopar kit is only $30. Or$60 total...
  3. Who’s making the first Gladiator Squared? edit: not portal axle related

Good eye…. But the Australian rubicons have the maxtow fender lip. Or you can call maxtow fenders: Australian rubicon fenders. Your choice. The wrangler in the photo his the fender lip too
  4. Would you buy a base gladiator if you couldnt do any mods?

Rubicon take off parts are relatively cheap. if I was that strapped for cash I wouldn’t buy a new truck.
  5. Greg’s white JT max tow

the jeep worked really good a holisterhills park. No problems with the blue trails. I aired down to 15psi. I didn’t bother with disconnecting the swaybar. I was very surprised. My YJ couldn’t do half of that without a locker.
  6. Greg’s white JT max tow

Jeep been running good. Not much left to do but drive it.
  7. Dealer issues with 35" tires

I think I had that issue on my max tow also.. The tone ring on the left rear axle shaft wasn’t pressed on right and got loose. Causing strange wheel speed measurements that confused the abs computer. New axle shaft fixed it.
  8. Greg’s white JT max tow

I flap disked a little too. It was hard to keep everything flat. Ended up using an orbital sander.
  9. Max tow max tow max tow.

The only reason I mention max tow in my posts is because of the wide track axles. It’s important in threads about wheel choice. it’s also important because for people shopping for a sport. there two tow packages for the sport and I’d hate to see a guy not get what he thought he was getting...
  10. Mojave cowl lights

Bummer. I checked my old orders and they are not available from Amazon any more. The new ones one more too. EAG Off-Road A-Pillar Light Mounts Fit for 18-20 Wrangler JL 1 Pair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QN9CJGG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_i_vSu.FbWNHXA65?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  11. Two identical JT Sports have different fenders.

I’m talking to the gears. The implication is that you can lift and put bigger tires on a max tow without a regear. 4.10s are perfect for 33s. Good enough for 35s and not too terrible with 37s. regearing is expensive. Given that I planned 35s and no lockers. The max tow package was a good deal...
  12. Do not trust dealer or cheap air guage.

Every tire company publishes an inflation guide for every tire they make. It tells you inflation pressure vs rated weight. You take the total weight of the truck and calculate. You should never go below that value...
  13. Exchange or partial refund

It’s still a hassle.. I’d want to put some paint on it to prevent rust. Or Maybe put a sticker over it
  14. Two identical JT Sports have different fenders.

Even on to OPs photo of a base max tow, the DRL is on. so you have theses fenders, but you don’t have the white lights circled in the attachment? And if you turn on your truck, they don’t illuminate?
  15. Two identical JT Sports have different fenders.

per my window sticker it is. But it’s part of the fenders.
  16. Two identical JT Sports have different fenders.

your buddy got the “max tow” package. The max tow package is a whole lot more then the normal tow package. It’s a $900+ option. If you want to lift a gladiator on the cheap, it’s the option to get. 1. Rubicon width axles 2. 4.10 gears 3. The wider two piece fenders 4. Bigger fan 5. Upgraded...
  17. Would you do the Steering TSB if yours drove like this?

For what it’s worth... my steering was really bad And now it’s really good. I have no tangible idea what fixed it. It started driving better when I put a winch on the front. And I put new track bars on. Also messed around with the drag link. It even drives good with 37 psi in the tires(35” E...
  18. 2020 Gladiator Mojave Long Term Tester by Car and Driver

In 1965 the Ford Mustang 289 with a four speed tested at 16.5sec qtr mile. But today most minivans do 15s. Subaru 2.5 outback’s are in the 17s Back in the day i thought my 289 mustang was pretty entertaining to drive. my stock YJ was supposed to do 18s in the 1/4. Maybe :) the concept of...
  19. 2020 Gladiator Mojave Long Term Tester by Car and Driver

What size tires do you have? My sport max tow has the 4.10s too, and was very peppy with the stock 31 inch tires... but once I put 35s on, it was slower.
  20. Greg’s white JT max tow

I stacked a cheap amazon light bracket on top of my mopar light bracket. I had to drill an cut the cheap bracket to slot the back hole, seems to fit good. And I can just add/remove the extra light and bracket when required.
