Like joyride said, this was one of the most challenging decisions, trying to match up what fit my build right, what was durable and functional, price, etc., and in fact ended up reselling a few options before I landed on what I currently have. And still not 100% sure it was the right option...
Like the title says, I have a set of white Rubicon fenders and flares, with the LED lights still installed. Have all the bolts and clips, a few of the push-rivets broke when I popped them off. I also have an extra set of front inner liners that work with trimmed fenders - went a different route...
All good - appreciate the offer. It's not missing parts so much as they just shipped me damaged parts a couple of times, and it is a complete pain to work with them to get them replaced. I get that issues happen, but when you ship a part you powdercoated with obvious damage, and when it gets...
Amen to this. I was halfway through a full fender swap on mine with them and it's been nothing but a nightmare to deal with that company. I don't care how good their products are, RA's management sucks, and now I'm sitting with half a build and no idea on how to finish it/recoup my money/start over.
Update - Road Armor finally acknowledged that they would replace the fender with a new one and would email the tracking info as soon as it went out. Then two weeks go by, no response so I follow up.
They said "oh man, sorry, we forgot to send it. We will put you in the front of the line for the...
And I'm super frustrated with RA!
First, the good new - got the rear liners and fenders, and just got the liners back with a LineX coating on them. Really like how they came out.
But, the bad news is RA shipped me a rear fender that was seems to have been damaged when they packed it...
I've ordered a couple things from them at different times. Generally, in today's world of Amazon 2 day, they feel much slower to ship...but they always are responsive when I reach out to check, and they are upfront on their website (now) that it will take them some time.
Overall, the products...
I put one of each on to do a comparison. Haven't decided whether all white works well, or if I should go back to the standard black. But this gives you a side by side in a couple different lighting situations. If they were a perfect match, I'd go 100% white, but they are just off enough to bug...
It was posted in another thread, but ATV mirrors with a 2" tube mount work great on those doors. Just make sure you get one that can mount on a horizontal bar, as there isn't enough space on the upper corner vertical bar.
Great article, and I like the the way they showed the progression.
On the inner fender liners, I am planning the same set from RA, but was going back and forth between getting them coated versus exposed stainless. You still good with them being stainless?
Awesome build
Looking to replace the interior lights, and this is what the footwell LED light looks like. Anyone know who besides the dealership makes replacement versions of this? I've tried to search for replacement courtesy lights online but my search-fu is apparently not strong enough
I was replying to the comment if blind spot detection still worked with the doors off. Cross path and everything works fine, but at least on mine, when the doors are off, it disables BSM. Not an error, just a note that it's disabled. When I put the doors back on, BSM works fine.
Are you sure? I get the message Blind Spot Monitoring Temporarily Disabled whenever I take off the doors. I believe this is since the warning light is in the mirror, even though the sensors are in the tail lights. When I put the doors back on, it goes back to working normally. But I also only...
I also bought the Mopar doors. They are solid, and fit perfectly. For the mirror issue, I just bought 2" roll bar mirrors for an ATV, and they fit the doors perfectly.
My only suggestion is to make sure that the ATV mirrors allow for full rotation. You need to put the clamp on horizontally...
I emailed Ace, they want to make rear liners as well, but said they were a ways out, as the demand wasn't really high yet. So they are a front only option for now. I guess I'm also going to go the RA route.
I have had these sitting in a shopping cart forever, and can't wait to see the install. I am also curious about the Line-X vs powder coating now, and if it affects fitment at all.
