I followed the manual and did 70 miles normal driving back hilly country roads varying speeds. Then from 70-500 miles I did roads up to 60 mph max and varying speed/rpm and about ten 40-60mph WOT pulls.
She’s broken in now at 2,000 miles I’m now seeing 23 MPG on this thing, running Shell 87...
I heard on another post about the same oil leak shorting out that sensor and fixing that leak solved the misfire issue.
Seems like that leak could be the main reason for all these misfire problems
Right yeah not exactly a clunk, but an aggressive down shift. So you hear the drivetrain slack or gear lash.
Like you know in a manual if you don’t shift smoothly or RPM match and you can hear the gear lash or driveline slack?
That’s the sound I’m describing I should say the transmission...
For sure, going up my driveway in 2wd in my old truck with an open diff sometimes one wheels on snow or ice and would just spin one wheel, I’d have to engage 4wd. Now my lsd locks up and I can walk up without engaging 4wd
cool yeah part of me was thinking this might be related to the max tow package and normal.
also the fact that it doesn’t always do it, only sometimes depending on deceleration. Seems to mostly do it if you slowly come to a stop when you’re lite on the brakes
My guess is that it’s the tranny programming. It only does it in certain conditions, usually if you’re coming to a slow stop. You can replicate this same sound in a manual transmission, depending on how you downshift. Does anyone else notice this?
Does anyone notice a slight clunk on down shifts when coming to a stop?
I notice a clunk when the transmission down shifts sometimes, not all the time though, either 4th to 3rd gear or 3rd to 2nd gear. I don’t have any clunk shifting from park to drive or reverse, that’s always nice and...
I checked the builder and now you can’t order Max tow in a base sport anymore which is what I have. Not sure why but you can only get it in a Sport S now
yeah that makes sense, I did about 70 miles back hilly roads, varying rpms. Then between 80 miles and 300 miles I did 10 WOT pulls from 40Mph to about 55 or 60 mph. I also used manual mode about half the time to down shift for some engine braking.
I hear a lot of different opinions on this, after 60 miles the factory recommends brief wide open throttle.
How come I hear people saying to stay under 4,000 rpms? When you put the hammer down for two or three seconds at a cruise you’re going over 4K rpms when the tranny down shifts, but this...
