That's interesting. I'll try the off-road + button. I was playing around with it, but I need to find a long descent and make a video and see if that fixes it. I have used off-road + before but not on a descent. I sometimes like how it works and other times I don't like how it holds the gears...
Oh that sucks that it does it going up hill. Mine is controlled while on flat ground or up hill (no problem). I noticed this yesterday when I was in Moab on a long hill descent. I didn't want to ride the brakes so I put it in 4lo and manual mode. On my old rig, I could just coast in a controlled...
Any updates to this?? I just recently experienced something like this while in 4lo but I was coasting and engine braking while descending a hill in 'manual' mode (1st/ 2nd gear). The jeep would sort of initially engine brake while coasting but then would surge fwd and increase RPM to around...
I have a 23' Rubicon (auto) and I just noticed this weekend that the vehicle surges while in 4lo while descending a hill in manual mode. On a flat surface or climbing, it behaves like normal (no surge).
I found a similar thread on a JL forum. The following occurs:
Put it in 4lo, 1st/ 2nd...
I also received my next venture front diff skid. I will eventually take pictures. I threw some spray paint on them as they will eventually get bashed up. They are works of art.
I should also receive my next venture full belly skid with the uhmw option in a couple weeks. I ordered this back in...
So I jumped on the winch in plastic bumper bandwagon.
Got a Rock Jock winch plate, warn zeon 12s and went to town cutting.
I have had warn products in the past and have never had issues with reliability.
I figured I would try this before spending $1200 on a factory steel bumper. I do like...
Not today, but the other day. I did the winch in plastic bumper mod..used the rock jock winch plate and then cut the plastic bumper till everything fit.
Not super hard, but definitely takes 4-5 hours. The zeon 12 winch barely fits with the cover.
It honestly isn't that hard if you take your time. If you buy the factory steel bumper, you need the winch plate anyways. Might as well try this and save $1200.
I am part of the winch in the plastic bumper group now.
Used the rock jock winch plate. I did have to enlarge the frame bracket holes as they were slightly off. I should email rock jock so they do better at the manufacturing QA.
As OP mentioned, lots of trimming and fitting. The zeon barely...
I got a 23'. Same experience as OP, but disappeared for about a day. It has been back ever since. Cycling using the arrows does not make it reappear. I didn't do anything different. It just reappeared on a new start cycle.
Thanks!
The voron was my first printer. Everyone said don't build one as a first printer. I thought it wasn't too hard. Took about 40 hrs of my time between assembly and troubleshooting.
I am pretty technical so it wasn't a bad. Project. I definitely love the core xy setup. It prints so fast...
Excellent work,
I am an ME by trade and was going to undertake something similar but for front head lights for when I had my Tacoma. The goal was to use some 6" JW speaker headlights and turn signals.
The project ultimately died as I sold my Tacoma to get the JT. I scanned my Tacoma headlight...
As mentioned above, have your son practice or do a trade in
I looked into this with my second gen Tacoma. My wife didn't like driving the manual. I eventually sold it and got my JT.
You basically need a donor vehicle for all the misc items and if you were to farm it out to someone, it will...
I already installed their HD diff covers . They are works of art. I did email them to ensure I can go wheeling with them with only the stock Rubicon suspension. They look like they clear but it looks close.
Still on the fence on this winch compared to the zeon 12k. Been using warn products for years and I can get any individual part for them for years to come. I do think they are a little over priced (warn) but as with any recovery gear, you can transfer it to other vehicles.
I will however buy a...
I am on the fence. I am interested in the rear one as it relocates the sway bar from the axle and puts it on the top of the frame. The front I am not sure. I know Jscan can disable the sway bar all together if I removed the stock one. The cost is pretty cheap compared to the tazer. I dont know...
