Any reports? Really close to pulling the trigger on re-gearing. Have 4.10'a in mine and it's doggin on the highway pretty bad. Just got off the phone w my local 4x4 shop and they're still sticking w Yukons and a lifetime warranty w their "YES" plan.
Yeah...after posting that I looked at some RV forums and saw that same answer, so I went back and deleted my original post bc it really didn't add anything to OP's original thread. Thanks for the answer though.
I was looking for Overland wheels for mine but couldn't find any for a decent price locally. I think that gunmetal grey would go great w the color scheme on my 2003. Also, its now a 20yr old car. Wasn't going to break the bank on it either.
RE: Overland wheels hitting the caliper
Interesting. The WJ series went from 99-04. In 05 they got rid of the solid front axle. It's quite possible they changed up the brake caliper sizing as well. There seems to be a lot of crossover between the WJ Grand Cherokees and the mid 2000's...
Just thought I'd throw this out there. Found a set of take-offs from a guy who just wanted to get rid of them for $200. I bought them with a pretty good idea that they'd fit my 2003 Grand Cherokee. They look great and were cheap. If you have a set of take-offs you can advertise them to the...
Can I ask why they didn’t fit? Looking for something to put on a 2003 Grand Cherokee that has a 2 1/2” lift. Currently running 2008 Wrangler wheels w 255/75/17’s on it. Thanks!
Would you consider $100 if you still have them? I need a set to get my kids car through another year before she's off to college. Hoping they'll fit her 2003 Grand Cherokee
Same issue at 10K miles. I'm in and out of it about 10x a day. Add lift and bigger tires and I'm basically sliding onto and off the seat every time. I just planned on getting Katzkin when and if I wear a hole in it. And we "fuller figured" guys prefer the term "husky"
I feel your pain. I needed one for moving and the one I got was clearly one of A.R.E's early Rhino Lined type top. Splotchy, uneven spray and the aluminum window trimming leaves something to be desired. However, it serves it's purpose and will only be on temporarily.
SP, is there anything you really regret about your JT? Color? A factory option that you wish you would've had? A different gear ratio? Soft top instead of hard top (or vice versa), etc? A 12K bump to jump to to basically the same vehicle (albeit newer and less miles) and then have to re-mod...
I have not and so far haven’t noticed any driveline vibrations or any other negative issues. I will, however, probably go ahead and install a carrier bearing spacer. I figure for $30, it can’t hurt to reduce the driveline angle a bit.
+1 for the BFG 37's. Yeah, they run a little smaller than other 37's but I've run them on all my work trucks and have never been disappointed in the 20 years doing so. Pic shows the RC 3.5" spring lift. I probably didn't need to go that high but I like the wheel gap better. Stock 4.10 gears...
