  1. A Christmas message about Jeep's batteries and charging system.

Fortunately for us, there is a very easy solution to this problem: remove the BS Aux battery, wire up the vehicle side of the wiring harness appropriately to put power where it's needed, and secure all your work. There's a couple threads on the forum with the wiring diagram. I've been running...
  2. A Christmas message about Jeep's batteries and charging system.

Hi, I'm an engineer. I know way more about design for $MakeingPeopleHappy and $BuildingReliableTrucks than the geniuses in the accounting and pricing department who control the actual design trade space. If you let me and my friends run wild you'd have an amazing truck, it would also cost...

  4. Things to check before buying used gladiator rubicon

Fixed that for you :) I'd look for scrapes on the frame and control arms, that will tell you how much it's been wheeled.
  5. Gladiator vs Rivian collision results

That was some commitment on his part. Most people would stop going backwards when they heard the sound.😂😂

  8. Rear View Mirror Delete ?

that's clever, i guess it means my idea for a radio/intercom mount up there would work. My rear view is useless anyway with my tire-gate.
  9. Looking for higher capacity springs for my Rubicon but….

Check out dobinson USA. They have several heavy duty spring variants that will support extra weight at around stock ride height
  10. Building my own flush tail lights

Put me down for set when you're ready to start selling these?
  11. Opinions before I order wheels/tires

These are Patagonia MTs on https://www.battlebornwheels.com/collections/beadlock/products/gate-keeper-offroad-beadlock-black battle born 17x9 beadlocks. its a 34" (295-70R17)tire but I have no lift on my overland edition. They clear with just gutted fenders. A true 35x12 would clear easily on...

What settings and/or changes are you running to avoid DW without a damper?
  14. Engine died during water crossing

If the Mass Air Flow Sensor gets wet, even a little splash, it will shut the motor off. There's a ram air intake on the grill, lower passengers side, that ducts air into the air box, and if you get into water too deep will drive water in the same way. If it started up after you let it sit...
  15. Rear facing car seat?

You want to use the "latch" system anyway, it's much easier to live with, secure the seat, and keep tight than threading a seatbelt.
  16. Rear facing car seat?

We used the Recaro seat that goes from infant to kid, but not a removable base one. Put it in the middle between the seats.
  17. Aux tank !

Look for a racing fuel cell, they come in all kinds of shapes, including squares that would fit in the spare tire space. If I ever add an aux tank or a water tank that's where I'll put it.
  18. Rock light tapped courtesy lights blink

it's 20-ish gauge wire, I didn't mic it. So that's good for over an amp depending on which table you look at. It also works fine experimentally.
  19. Rubicon Suspension Parts on Sport?

That's about right for a rubi suspension.
  20. Replace factory limted slip or something else?

e-locker or air locker. Buy once, cry once; and I suspect the parts are not that much difference in price. I'd think hard about a front locker while he's got it apart too. Then take the bill to the dealer and beat them up for a credit of the amount a new LSD would have cost them.
