If your JT didn’t come with a factory square receiver then the add-on class III receivers from Reese or Curt are most likely at your vehicles max tow rating. Just a thought, as adding a higher rating hitch will not increase your JT’s tow rating
Just realized I went over 100,000 miles and missed the photo. Not exciting, more worrisome. ‘Till the wheels fall off… or the engine blows, I guess. Still love it!
how did it turn out? I like how there isn’t much on the cover itself so it doesn’t get in the way of rolling it up and you can choose a color of strap to match your mood. I did choose stainless hoops to minimize corrosion.
I'd like to take the credit, but I learned about using these this way on this forum. I call them wheel jacks, but HF calls them vehicle dollies, which I guess is a more appropriate name for them. And they are on sale right now. You can adjust the height of the wheel/tire and rotate them on the...
Had to install new tires for a road trip. Switched from 37x12.5r17 Trail Grapplers to same size Baja Boss A/T tires. Wanted to go A/Ts this time. Used one of my HF wheel jacks to help me remove and reinstall the wheel on the truck. Damn things are heavy! 140lbs heavy. Also installed new...
Hit lucky 7️⃣7️⃣7️⃣7️⃣7️⃣ today. Probably not luck because it looks like my battery or batteries are going - darn start stop system error! And need a new TPMS sensor, too!
Had an XC90 T8 R-design. Still miss that car. Was definitely fun to drive (on the road), had tons of space inside for my family of 5 and when the battery was charged, it would scoot for a heavy pig! It didn’t get great gas mileage the way I drove it, lol.
@Bpine - I see you’re in CA, always wondered how you’ll deal with smog checks once your truck hit 4yrs old with an engine swap? You know, for when my engine rattles to death and my rocker arms all break and destroy a cam…again. Can DM me if that is preferable. Thanks!
