The last two Wranglers I had I ordered the dual top option and the soft top never was put on either of them. If I order a Gladiator, just going with the hard top. Keep in mind they haven't been my daily drivers either, so I tend to just take the hard top off and leave it off most of the summer...
It’s ok if you think that. This friend is usually in on these things and has been proven right often. I hope he’s “wrong” in this case as I’d like to get a diesel myself. I couldn’t tell if he was specially talking about the SelecTrac Sahara diesels or in general. Asked for some clarification...
Someone I know that's in the car parts business said the transfer cases in the diesel Wranglers were "blowing up." I really want to wait for a diesel Gladiator, but I worry I'd regret it at the first sign of an issue.

My local dealer ... I purchased one car from them a long time ago and it was a bad experience and their service is NOT good in my opinion, so I don't have a lot of love for them anyhow.

Are there only certain tires in the 35" range that a guy can choose from due to the 7.5" width of the OEM rim? It seems many 35" tires require an 8.5" width rim. I'd love to be able to keep the stock rim, but not sure I'd be willing to go with a tire I don't want just to do so.
