Im not sure how to explain what I have, maybe my 2020 is different. My latches have a rest built in that the hood comes down on. I have tried several aftermarket brands like you suggested and I couldn't get it to be solid. Ill post my picture again and circle what Im asking. Yes, I can tighten...
Ill look at those dont really need the lock, thanks. I understand the solutions to critters, need to find a repair for the jeep. Again our JTs need the brace/rest behind the latch which eliminated most aftermarket.
I am looking for some proper aftermarket hood latches for my 2020 JT. Have tried the usual sources that say JK, JL and JT are the same but they are not. Our JTs and assume JL has a hood "rest" built in. This rest give something for the latch to tension too. The several brands I have tried did...
Keep meaning to update on the lift. Everything works and drives well except for one issue at higway speed. If I go over a bump like an expansion joint there is a short oscilation of the steering wheel. Not in anyway like death wobble, but similar to the wobble when it first starts. I have not...
I got her done as per my plan. Everything worked well other than getting the control arms torqued to specs, lol. I went with Fox 2.0's as it's almost exclusively street driven. Im very happy with the mopar front springs/ Icon rear spacers. The stock Max Tow springs balance well with the Mopar...
OK, update on parts purchased. Got the front mopar lift springs w/new isolaters, lower arms, rear sway bar extensions and rear bumpstop spacer (have a front already). I also ordered a JKS front adjustable trackbar, front extended swaybar disconnects, Icon rear coil 1.38 spacer, and Terraflex...
Looking at the Mopar lift parts list. Do I need to get new front bottom spring isolators. I understand replacing things while your there, but my current ones are fine. Didin't know if there was something special about those in the kit. Thx
I dont see how you can get proper tension on the hood without the little hood rest. I looked at the video and there is nothing supporting the outer edges of the hood? I bought hinges from Extreme 4x4 and to tighten it down enough for the latch to not vibrate, the hood was almost touching the...
The rubber pops off, but it has to have something to mount to? Most aftermarket latches are meant for a JK which has a hood rest seperate from the hinge. Im not sure how everyone is doing this without realy warping the hood.
I circled the stock hood rest that is part of the hinge. Most aftermarket hinges dont have that. Without it you have nothing to sinch the hood down to. Imallcrawl, the hinges you showed look like they will work, but I dont need a lock.
