Pretty sure you can go into your Uconnect settings and turn that off. They kick on during a regular or remote start. Found out recently on mine since the temp has dropped cold enough.
They follow the body line pretty well. If you notice on the second posted picture you'll see a slight bend inward towards the bed to follow the body-line.

After seeing some DIY work on this forum I went the route of getting my own Silhouette Cameo 4. Been working on my Star Wars themed decals just this passed weekend for my rig.
Went with Sport S Max Tow. Rubi's are a bit out of the price I wanted to lay down and got my MT for a great price. Out the door I was well away from a Rubi price so have room to put in Rubi-like upgrades or more down the line if I want.
