We put 37's on with 800 miles on the Jeep. They have been on for over 40k miles now. I wouldn't do it any other way. We have not regeared. I'm still not sure I would for how we use the Jeep. It is my wife's daily driver/fun car.
I used to use WD40 to remove tar from painted fenders on my trucks. It may work here. I'm not sure how it will react with your PPF. You may just want to try Dawn dish soap first.
I think I am going to be doing this on our JT and JK. I have now re-torqued the track bar bolts 3 times in 34k miles on the JT. Maybe this will get rid of the slop and keep them tight.
We have had 37x12.50x17 Falken AT3W on the Gladiator for just over 25k miles now. I am really pleased with them. They seem to be wearing really well. I just rotated them this past weekend (5 tire rotation) and they have 15/32 of tread left. 19/32 from the factory.
The Gladiator Mopar soft top kit does not weigh 124 lbs. I bought one that was still in the box and it was definitely not that heavy. Here are a couple pics I found of it still in the box on a for sale ad here. Not my pics, but you can clearly see the weight label on the side. That said we...
We have a JTop that we use with both our hard top and soft top. We never take the JTop off. Just had to unbuckle the straps that are second from the rear and it works fine.
I've had a 5th OEM wheel under the bed for about 15k miles now and it has been fine. Been down rock roads, desert trails, etc. I could see it dragging if you drag the tail on rocks. But the finish is fine on the wheel. Also have a 2013 F350 with an OEM polished/cleared wheel and 37" tire...
I agree with Silvertruck. We have 14k miles on our Gladiator with a 2" lift and 37s. The change has been almost a non-event in my mind. It still shows 17.6 average mpg on the dash. I don't know how accurate that is and don't really care enough to find out. Really it comes down to...
A tent and basic camping stuff. Take a first aid kit and know how to use it. There is fuel outside the park on the west side near Terlingua. Bring some binoculars and a telescope. The sky is beautiful out there at night. It also gets cold at night. My son and I camped there one year down by...
Sell that spare steel wheel to pay for the matching wheel. Plenty of guys looking to run "steelies" on their Jeeps.
I bought a set of Rubicon wheels cheap locally. I took the best wheel and sold the other 3 to guys looking for a spare. It paid for my spare and part of my 37" for the spare.
