No, it idled pretty smoothly/normally and that is when the tick was least noticeable.

Mine didn't show any codes, just ticking. The first dealer I took it to wouldn't tear into it to look because they didn't hear anything unusual and didn't have codes. It slowly got loud enough so that it was undeniable and the second dealer opened it up to look.

Thanks. I used keder rail/awning rail. it’s an aluminum extrusion channel. You sew a flexible rod into your tent and it captures the tent fabric around the rod. Do a search for Tacoma World and DIY Wedge tent. There is a huge thread there on techniques and supplies.

The bed platform is 1.5" square tubing and 3mm ACM paneling. ACM is also called e-panel or m-panel or some other trade name depending on where you get it. The 1.5 tubing is overkill. I would probably do 1" next time.
