Appreciate that this is half the cost of the goose gear. I want a single drawer system in the back of my gladiator but I have not found a good way to mount and have been toying w/ the goose gear idea....
Looking at the pics, the GG seems to be a bit higher quality
FYI, the Flyer/Flyer Pursue weight limit of the rack is like 150 lbs. I highly, highly, highly recommend getting the tent off of it unless you've reinforced it somehow.
Also I confirmed that it's 200 lbs before the containers and everything. A few Plano Sportsmen bins weight 10-15 lbs at most. I just couldn't justify it even though I really, really, really want to and keep thinking about it.
That was my biggest issue - I had aspects of mine rusting within the first season, very disappointing. Also, some of the parts were not perfectly aligned, which was fine but still disappointing.
Recently purchased Uptop Overland rack and I am going to install today or tomorrow. So far, it seems pretty superb. What I like about this rack vs others is weight...
Rebel Off Road, full-height rack = 165 lbs
Uptop Overland, full-height rack = 77 lbs
Yes, Rebel is a stronger rack but I...
Anyone have any familiarity with this rack? The price and quality seem to be at a sweet spot. I am seeing a lot of positive thoughts online for the Taco rack but I have not seen much (read: nothing) for the Gladiator...
Seems pretty cheap actually compared to other Aluminum setups. This is now on my list...I was going to w/ Rebel Off-Road as I think they make quality but I'd love to save some weight and go w/ Aluminum.
