I never said it was a bad product, I said it didn’t work as purchased and that I didn't like their business model.... and I still don’t. But I wasn’t trying to steal the thread topic, sorry to stir the pot - there’s my disclaimer.
HA! I did miss that, and I wouldn’t have bought it if I had seen it I guess knowing it required me to splice into my wiring..... After market stuff. Amazon would have been free shipping and 100% return$.... just sayin....
Buyer Beware purchasing from Oracle! I purchased a set of LED tail/turn signal lights from them, $10 each and $9 shipping. OK. Arrived nicely packaged looked like a good product but after installing the computer was throwing codes saying there were no turn signals and the turn signals were...
I spent about 6 hours yesterday installing the OEM brake module (I told you it takes me a lot longer to do these projects, I take my time so I don’t screw it up) I also had to remove my Dead Pedal and grind the tip down to reveal that screw hole. That worked out good whereas I wanted to adjust...
I have a different brand Dead Pedal (DP)currently mounted in the JT, it looks like it has less metal (that’s why it was cheaper I guess) so hoping I doing have to remove and trim it. I too think a DP should be standard equipment.......
This has been a Great Thread! Thanks to all who have added to it! I had already ordered the Mopar TB at a good price so I’ll keep it but before installing I ordered the Tekonsha 3073-P from Amazon, $14.36 (since my Glady production date is 11-19)... in for a penny in for a pound! Like Dean said...
Yep, I join the group that was annoyed the first time it happened to me when I was backing w/ my door open. But, it saved me one time getting out to open a farm gate when I left it it drive..... I think it paid for it self. Now that I know about it, it has me trained!
I can also recall as a...
I have been flat towing my JKUR and now my JT behind my Moho for over 50000 miles with no issues. OK, one issue, I lost a tow pin out of one of the arms and wondered why that Jeep was trying to run me over. I didnt get very far and zero damage to either. Jeeps are far and way the easiest tow...
This whole thread got me thinking (always dangerous) about my new 98 TJ Sport (no Rubis back then) that I build into a great trail rig. In those days I never met a mud hole I didn't jump into. Mud caked everywhere!! I would drive it to a hand car wash and spend $10 washing the engine and...
Ive owned Jeeps for 25 years. As part of a Christian RV construction ministry I had been towing my JKUR behind my Moho for years. I would store my tools in the Moho and load up the jeep at every project and then unload 3 weeks later. Really wanted to get back into a truck but unwilling to give...
Installed these LED DRL/Turn signal lights - what a difference. Obviously that’s just half the install to highlight the change. For the turn signals I’m using the 4 ways.
You need 5 small and 1 large bolt for each side. I just took the diagram photo to my local Jeep deal - Jim Click in Tucson (Great parts dept) and they knew exactly what I needed. I’m sure your local folks can take care of you.
Yep, I use a layer approach, including a lot of peppermint based Products and strobe light (gets pretty exciting at my place). The product I showed was not so much an Endorsement as just reporting.... so didnt mean to get anyone worked up. Have had a pack rat in my Moho once, my wife insisted...
We travel and hook one of these in the engine of the Glad and Moho. I do use some other layers too, Rodent Mace, mothballs, and rope lights around Moho. When I first got the Glad in AZ I had a big snake hiding in the frame.
My build date was 11-19 and I didn’t recall Trac Lok being listed as part of the max tow package and now I see on the jeep web site it’s included which was the reason for my Q. Good to know they’re both 4:10... Thanks Mac!
I also have a Sport S w/ Max Tow. Two things Ive been trying to determine: 1. Does the max tow package automatically come w/ the rear Trac-lok? 2. Are both front and rear axles 4-10 geared? Thanks for any help.
