  1. Tell me about tie rods

Metalcloak Gamechanger 3.5” lift, Yeti drag link, Yeti tie rod, steer smarts sector shaft brace. Stock steering stabilizer but top mounted. Will upgrade this after I figure out my problem. Don’t want stabilizer masking my problem. Going get tires balanced and an alignment and if that don’t do it...
  2. Tell me about tie rods

getting tires balanced tomorrow and then will get an alignment if that does help out much. If neither of those help out ball joints will probably be next after that.
  3. Tell me about tie rods

Thanks for the reply. I’m already at 27-28 psi so I guess that won’t help me much ? I got rid of the shimmy in the wheel when I replaced my drag link and tie rod but the steering wheel wobble 5 or 6 times when I hit a bump didn’t go away. Think my next step is rebalancing and alignment then go...
  4. Tell me about tie rods

Tell me a little more about what yours was doing please. I’m fighting what started out as a slight wobble/shimmy of the steering wheel between 40-45 and 50-55 mph. Now it has gotten to where when I hit a bump at those speeds it will wobble a little more aggressive back and forth about 5-6 times...
  5. Rear pinion angle?

thanks for the input. Mine I cannot feel in the steering wheel only in the floorboard and brake/gas pedals. At around 25mph I can hear a whoo whoo whoo(or however you spell it lol) sound. When I put stock tires on I don’t hear or feel it. That’s why I leaning more towards tires. But I also know...
  6. Rear pinion angle?

That’s the front drive shaft they recommend changing and that’s because the shaft will hit the cross member at full droop and tear the boot off. But front drive shaft don’t turn when not in 4L so that wouldn’t be my vibration. I’m talking about the rear shaft.
  7. Rear pinion angle?

I honestly don’t think my vibration is coming from rear drive shaft. Angle at TC is 2.5°, angle at carrier bearing is 2.5° and rear angle is about 4 °. I stacked washers and made a spacer for carrier bearing to test that theory and there was no change. Thinking the harmonic vibration I’m hearing...
  8. Rear pinion angle?

right I get that. I talked to Will at Metalcloak and he said he hasn’t heard of anyone having to change the angle at the carrier bearing by adding a spacer at that joint. Only way to adjust that angle is with a spacer right? He said they only try to get the rear pinion angle back to stock Which...

Good info man thanks for keeping us updated. Let us know the final results when you get your new tire.
  10. Driveline Vibration with 37’s

Holy crap I had read you got new tires and rims but that’s crazy you had to get two new sets. I have fuel rims also guess I need to check them too. My vibration is mostly at about 25 mph and again at 45. I can feel it periodically at higher speeds but it’s not constant. And I don’t feel it in...
  11. Rear pinion angle?

Can anyone tell me what the stock rear pinion angle is on a Sport S Max Tow? I’m getting a vibration at around 25 mph and 45 mph that I’m trying to figure out. Currently at 4° pinion angle but thinking I need to dial it in close to stock. 3.5” Metalcloak lift with 37” cooper sst and beadlocks
  12. Driveline Vibration with 37’s

Still no results yet? I’m having vibrations in mine also after I installed Metalcloak lift.
