Where did you get this? I read you can get 16 miles with just 1 hour of charging.

It makes no sense I know. I have an overland without the tow package. That's why I've been looking at trailers with a dry weight of 3000 lb or less.

That's what I said. Without the factory tow package, the automatic is maxed at 4,500 pounds.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but it's right in the manual. Page 207. The manual can tow 4,000 pounds and the Automatic can tow 4500 pounds. That's assuming you have a class IV hitch. If you have the Overland with the factory tow page, you can tow 6000 pounds.
