Just to piggyback on this thread, I'm planning a trip from Houston to Colorado Springs at the end of this month. It will be my first long distance drive in the gladiator. I'm curious how well the built in GPS works compared to using google maps through Android Auto. I've used the Uconnect GPS a...
After reading that story a couple weeks back about that freak accident with the tow hitch, I want to make sure I know everything about winches/recovery before I start using them.
Thanks for all the input guys. I have an automatic and from what I understand in the manual, my base towing capacity is 3500 pounds since I don't have the tow package. Once I add a class 4 hitch, I'll be at 4500 max. The trailer I was looking at is the Coleman 17b or something similar. Dry...
I'll be getting my first ever trailer soon so I had a couple questions. Is there a definitive guide somewhere on JT towing? Like things I'll need to buy and watch out for? Secondly, another question I have is what are the risks involved with towing a trailer that is heavier than what my truck is...
Too many variables with this sale. Some people will bid and simply not pay. Some sellers will have ghost accounts to place bids on items to run up the price.
I appreciate all the help. I checked out the Prius girl and apparently, there are quite a few people here living out of a Prius. Another person brought up a good point. If someone hits my vehicle, I'd be out of shelter. That's a risk I don't want to take although I like the Prius idea. I would...
A friend of mind just broke this down for me. It's actually going to be much cheaper to buy the land with a house already on it than to buy the land and build the house.
It's basically just to get a lump sum of cash and then save a lump sum of cash until the market goes back down. I'm single in a 3/2. I work so much that when I'm finally off, I'm still working doing house chores, grass, cleaning up after the dog etc...Since COVID started, the value of my house...
I appreciate all the replies. I'll look into getting the land earlier than expected. It makes sense since I'll have the trailer and instead of paying to park at an RV resort, I can be making payments on my land. My only gripe about the gladiator is the rear seat. When I had my F-150, I could...
I'm in Houston. We were capped at 36 hours straight but since we're so short. We can work as much as we won't. We're still short about 400 firefighters. I won't lie though, 8 days was pretty tough and by day 5, I was ready to go insane. That's nothing though. Another guy in our department worked...
I appreciate the replies. In my city, housing is expensive. A one bedroom in the hood is 1100. The nice areas start at 1500. Not to mention utilities. I'll look at cheap trailers as well as Airbnb's. The goal is to keep my living expenses low so I can save the max amount of money.
This might sound stupid to some but here goes. I just finished my second divorce and i got to keep the house. The housing market where I'm at is still good so I'm looking to sell my house and walk away with 60-70k. At the same time, interest rates are high and my ultimate goal is to build a...
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but it's right in the manual. Page 207. The manual can tow 4,000 pounds and the Automatic can tow 4500 pounds. That's assuming you have a class IV hitch. If you have the Overland with the factory tow page, you can tow 6000 pounds.
