There's aftermarket harnesses that bypasses the security of your obd 2 port and allows you to plug in additional obd 2 type devices. With it you can plug in a Bluetooth and change settings with something like Jscan, your little nanny tattle tale obd 2 insurance bull shit device should work...

Speaking of back in the day public access, I miss the public radio show "Car Talk" Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers. Mostly sophomoric humor and a little touch of car advice. More entertainment than helpful information but that was their shtick and those dudes cracked me up.

My manual steering CJ5 has a large steering wheel, and wouldn't you know it, the knob is a John Deere. You nailed it.
