New in box MOPAR 5VN11RXFAQ top panel.
A guy borrowed my truck and dropped the top when removing it. The damage was just cosmetic, he bought me a new one anyway.
$600/best offer. I'm in North Scottsdale, 85266.
thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I certainly had a chorus of friends and family who said "stick it to Jeep, they owe you a brand new truck right now". Well, yeah . . . and no, there's the real world.
I just got my diesel Gladiator back after a new engine at 23,000 miles. Which took 4 months . . . it is a long story, but related to this specific question I have direct recent experience w/ both Jeep Cares and consulting w/ lemon law lawyers. Basically, CA law says if they buy it back they will...
Yeah, this. My 2021 was the first new car I've bought in 30 years. Read all the PR about "Jeep Cares" and their protection plans and dealer maintenance network. Figured I was in for 50-100K miles of mostly maintenance-free driving. And If I needed work done, well it would be quick and I...
This explanation makes a lot of intuitive sense to me. A sudden derate just doesn't seem like a normal way for overheating to work, it is some arbitrary temperature that is not for protecting the engine. It very much seems like a bandaid solution, perhaps added downstream of the original...
Hi Doug . . . the belt broke, they replaced it, it broke again after 5 miles of driving. Decided to replace rollers, etc, including alternator. Saw it was still vibrating, noticed 2 bolts missing from the AC compressor. Replaced those, the noticed the oil pressure sender was bad. Went to replace...
I'm in kind of the same situation . . . been in the shop for 3 months, told it needed a new engine a month ago and it would be October before the engine would be available. The new engine came in this week, way early. I've been in touch with Cares and already broached the concept of a lemon...
If it's any help, my new engine is coming in 6 weeks ahead of schedule ! I was stunned to hear that, though maybe it was because I wrote a letter detailing all the trouble I've been through and saying I wanted a buy bock.
Having it fixed soon and ""only" 3 1/2 months rather than over 5 to...
Yep, I put in a Banks gauge right away. I've been really nervous about putting in anything else due to warranty concerns. I know a turbo timer shouldn't affect anything, but I just don't trust common sense with dealers or Jeep. As it turns out, despite carefully monitoring temps I still had my...
Perhaps, though in this particular circumstance I don't think it would helped to have less power. It was just myself in the vehicle, not towing, very lightly loaded. Quartzite is at the bottom of a long downhill, even with an ambient of 115 my temps were low when I stopped.
I've done a lot of...
Wow ! That is just horrible. I would suggest sending detailed letters to Cares and ask them to escalate immediately to Customer Retention, which is what got me to a person who at least has some power to get something done. Unfortunately, they don't seem to want to do a lot via email, especially...
sigh . . . don't get me started. And I wish I even had my Jeep to be able to worry about a derate . . . 2 1/2 months in the shop so far. Everything is backed up due to supply line issues, lack of mechanics, people testing positive and out of the shop for 10 days. I can't decipher what are real...
Identical experience as well, in Quartzite in the summer. I even let it idle while gassing, drove to a parking spot, then shut down. Derated as I accelerated to get onto the freeway. At least from reading this forum I knew what it was, but very unnerving still.

Follow up, I did stop by the dealership to check up on my truck. They had no idea why my engine was full of metal. Service advisor said he had another customer waiting on a replacement diesel engine, had been scheduled for late September but he just got word it was delayed. And to check back in...
Thanks. And yes pretty much identical experiences, cooling is the limiting factor for towing speed on these vehicles. I was prepared for that having towed the same rig extensively with a Grand Cherokee. Same experience, slow on steep grades, watching coolant temp, often running the heater at...
Yes, monitored constantly and used EGT as my limiting factor. I kept EGT below 1200 always, never saw high temps in oil, water or trans, usually kept the offroad pages up. Always manually shifting when under any kind of a load while towing.
Probably only 75 miles offroad due to the front...
Thanks, I agree it is worth a call and as I stewed a bit on what I typed I'm more motivated . . . this is going to turn into 5 months of repairs minimum, about 50% of the time I've owned it
