Yea...trusting the dealership is what I lack since I brought the wife's jeep in for an oil change and they never put the shroud back on and I never noticed it till I put new brake pads on.
So I know their has been some discussion on this issue. Took mine for inspection and it failed. Dealer said it wasn't the bulb but a wiring issue. I'm 5 days out of warranty and the dealer said there is usually a grace period and they might cover it but not sure so we'll see. Here is the odd...
While I do think it's a nice feature...I don't have any issues driving in most conditions (not ice tho)but that is how I learned to drive and having good tires is a biggie. I agree about not relying on electronics over years of skill. But their are a lot of good points from members.
It makes sense to have that feature...wish I had it now lol but being old school I have never given it a thought other than to pop in and out of 4wd when needed...appreciate the input.
So...not having select trac makes the JT crappy in snow? I haven't had any issues in snow once in 4WD and using general grabber AT tires...maybe I'm just used to driving in those conditions for years. If you can...school me on why it's better.
I had those on a jeep comanchee truck I had in the 80's and wacked 3 deer with that truck so I'm gonna say they don't work. At least those deer whistles didn't

I live in a highly populated deer area and had many near misses as I travel at 5am to work every morning. One came out of nowhere and I swerved and avoided hitting it head on but she slammed into the side. Amazingly there was no damage but not the same for the deer. Every truck I ever had has...
Your not the only stupid one...went to dinner to eat and while 2 beers in the waitress informs me that I left my lights on...was actually still running for maybe 1/2 hr.
Don't know much about gas saving gimmicks but to be honest if I was to be watching my gas milage I would not have bought a jeep truck. In fact everything truck I ever owned sucked gas.
I also think some were waiting to see some reviews and ask others how they like their gladiators. I have people ask me from time to time. Those that were sceptical are now pulling the trigger.
