I had the TSB work done, but ended up replacing the steering gear with a heavy duty one from PSC as well as the hydraulic steering pump after I upgraded to 37's.
FWIW, the stock hydraulic steering pump on the Gladiator is 100% electric. If you're having trouble steering with ease it's probably...
The answer depends on a number of factors. I did the following:
Removing axel
Disassembling
Removing stock brackets
Welding on trussing
Welding on new brackets
Off-gassing
Media blasting
Powder coating primer
Powder coating color
Powder coating clear
Reassembling
Re-gearing
Adding Locker...
I think your dealer is misleading you on this one. Generally death wobble results from bad ball joints or play in the drag link or tie rod ends. It sucks and can be quite scary. It's also really hard on your drivetrain. However, it being cold out or you running 2" larger tires over stock should...
I know you're having a bit of fun, but I actually removed and sold the springs already. Upgraded to true dual-rate springs from MetalCloak. They've exceeded my expectations!
I'm building a mechanically solid, yet understated, Rocklander with the Mojave as my base. I went with...

Yes, you can put 37's on your stock Gladiator before a lift kit. Consider the wheel backspacing and offsets, or you may experience rubbing with dramatic turns. Also consider adding bump stop extensions (2 inches) or you may top out your wheels in your fender wells. The stock tire size is 33...
Death wobble is definitely unnerving to experience. Shimmy in the steering column is usually caused by incorrect suspension geometry (including caster angle), something loose in the 4-Link suspension components, or deflection in the steering components. My journey to correct this took months of...
I purchased and installed the 3.5" MetalCloak GameChanger lift made for the Mojave on my Gladiator Mojave earlier this year. The hydraulic bump stops fit inside the springs from MetalCloak just fine, so I'm not sure why they would tell you that.
On a different note, it appears MetalCloak is no...
To my knowledge there is only one shock package—Fox 2.5's—available with the Gladiator Mojave. That's what my Gladiator Mojave came with and I kept the stock shocks when I lifted it. I did install a new front driveshaft when I installed the lift.
You can retain the stock Fox shocks with the MetalCloak 3.5" GameChanger lift for the Mojave. I think that kit is as good as it gets if you're going with 37" or 38" tires. If the aim is to go bigger than that there are stock drivetrain mechanical limitations to consider.
Going bigger means...
You won't be disappointed in MetalCloak's GameChanger lift. It's what I installed on my Mojave. After a thorough analysis of available options from various manufacturers I determined the MetalCloak lift was far and away the best value for the money. The amount of hardware you get and the quality...
That's a great question. I didn't measure anything before I installed the MetalCloak 3.5" GameChanger lift. What I do have is a sequence of before and after photos, plus some clearance measurements after everything was installed. Most of that's in my build thread.
I would like to find someone...
You're welcome! Here's my build thread
My wife and I put all the wheels together. At the time our local Discount Tire didn't have the equipment to do bead locks. They do now though. They helped us find the right valve stems to install the TPMS sensors, which is a unique process with the...
No, you don’t need all of what I mentioned. Certainly not to start with. I won’t be doing any axle work until next year and I’ll be doing a lot of off roading between now and then. Also, if you won’t be fully articulating the drive train you can skip the front drive shaft upgrade.
To save...
Thanks for throwing the math in your response and measuring and providing the stock height. This build doesn’t have armor that would put sprung weight on the lift. So, no steel front or rear bumper, no recovery gear, no cap, no bed rack, etc. I’ve got the spare tire in the bed, which probably...
The MetalCloak GameChanger lift for the Mojave provides upper and lower front shock relocation brackets. This allows the stock shocks to be retained as the MetalCloak springs add 3.5 inches of lift. There are no relocation brackets for the rear shocks as their geometry is different. Bump stop...
